Shit or not he’s back and good luck to him
Still better than anything we got out wide this season

Trossard managed more goals and the same number of assists for us as Knockaert got in the Championship this season... In 14 fewer appearances.

Knockaert looked well out of sorts when he came on tonight, a common theme this season by the sounds of it. He's a club icon for his performances in our promotion season but he has obviously passed his peak. Great bit of business to cash in when we did.

Well done Scott Parker, comes across as of one football’s good guys. Tactics spot on, bossed the game.

5live and Zamora called this today, after Brentford players had been ‘noisy’ on social media in the last few days. Helping Fulham’s motivational team talks.

I had a bet at 5/2 after the regular season finished, on Fulham being promoted. My unscientific theory was that they’d know how to get over the line, and that the Brentford end of season LL choke would come back to bite them. Play-offs are very often a cruel ending.

Scott Parker just said that they planned that opening goal, as the Brentford keeper is always aggressive in his positioning.

I love the unconventional coming off.

It also means goalies might not always be so keen to dominate aerials, in similar freekicks.

Gutted for Brentford. So close but blew it at the last. Reminds me of us the season before we went up: blew the last two games against Derby and Boro (with a helping hand from you know who) and then fell in the playoffs. My greatest fear for Brentford is that they’ll sell Benrahma (who I believe has the attributes to be a quality player in the PL)) and others if the price is right, unlike Uncle Tony who held on to everyone to go one better the next year. This will be a real test of their moneyball system to see how true they stick to it.

Delighted for Scott Parker though. There seems a real team spirit in that dressing room and he looked so emotional. He was the MOM for me. Got his tactics so spot on and an incredible decision (shown on camera at the end) to encourage Bryan to shoot from the free kick. Players seem to love him - Mitro was having a real D&M with him during the celebrations.

Also, anyone think Mitro’s near throat slam of the Brentford player before the free kick was all a ruse to trick Brentford into being convinced it’d be a cross?

I tell you what: maybe The Leeds United could make a cheeky bid for that Brentford defender as a replacement for White. Pontus Jansson, I think he's called.

Pretty pleased about Fulham going up from our perspective- don't see anything to worry about from them. Fingers crossed they have the same recruitment team as last time. West Brom dead certs to be propping up the table as well.
Good point about the recruitment team. They've learnt their lesson about listening to the coaches

Fulham deserved that, Brentford didn't turn up

I feel sorry for Brentford, this will really hit them in a day or two, they had 2 matches in the league against bottom of the league teams, if either game was won they went up auto instead of WBA, then this game and again came up short, no doubt next is a mass flogging of their star players and having to start over.

Like being 40- love up with 3 match points at Wimbledon, then having to face up to the fact, it was right there and you lost it from that position.

Knockaert was playing a makeshift LB when he came on.
He’s been promoted three times with three different teams now, so he must still have something about him.
Yes, it was good business for us, as we’ve improved in three years, but that doesn’t mean he’s gone backwards.

Anthony Knockhaert
I just don't think you understand.
We ripped you for 10 mil
He's not as good as Ozil
But we'll give him a standing ovation on his return....

AK will always be an Albion hero to me, I never join in with the bitchy ‘hoping ex-players flop‘ posts. All very bizarre.

Every Albion fan seems to have a different opinion on his performances since August 2017. Mine is that he didn’t usually have the pace to beat PL fullbacks, which frustrated him leading to the fits of pique on the field and in the dugout. A highly frustrated and quite angry man (passionate personality). I don’t see him be a PL star, but would like to be proved wrong.
