It was on one of NSC’s many Zaha threads a couple of days ago, with the reliable The Times confirming that he’ll be allowed to leave for £30m to £40m this summer. A reduced fee, after spending almost all his entire springboard career at CP.

For that low price I can see wet sham and everton elbowing each other in the face in the rush for The Winner.

Anyway, I can't really be rude about Zaha after his exemplary proactive generosity during Covid (in sharp contrast to the antics of several other, genuinely self-absorbed, clowns gracing the beautiful game during these troubling times).

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson on the future of Wilfried Zaha: "It’s a dilemma for the club and for him if he is so set on leaving.

"We still like him very much, we can't make him like us. It’s obviously affected him because his form in the last few weeks has been quite poor considering what he is capable of doing. I don’t have an answer."

He’s not that over rated

Put him in a better team and judge then

I think our fans do undersell him a little, which isn’t really surprising. However I do think he’s overrated in general. He has nowhere near the end product needed to be worth north of £50,000,000. He’s got 4 goals and 3 assists this year which puts him behind Trossard (Trossard has played 1200 minutes less), Armstrong (1500 less), El-Gahzi (1200 less), & Redmond (500 less). He’s level with Matt Docherty & Mark Noble and finished one goal ahead of Dunk. For a player who is the main focal point for his team, that is a shocking return.

This.
Zaha is garbage. He has a 1 good game in 7. If they can get anywhere near 50 mil that's got to be one of the biggest robberies in football history. He also likes to sulk and whinge alot, Palace is probably about the right level for him

Never rated Hodgson as England manager but sadly he's been good for Palace, there's no denying that. Plus he seems like a decent bloke.

If he does call it a day I hope he has a long and happy retirement.

I find him a decent guy and have said it many times (although he’s easy to poke fun at). Whereas all their previous 3 or 4 managers were easy to hate - like Pardew and Pullis :ffsparr:

However, like many Albion fans, I cannot find anything remotely endearing about Zaha - only laughable things and an odd, odd bloke.

"We can't make him like us" is simultaneously one of the saddest and funniest things I have EVER heard, even from that football club.
