Why don't women wear headscarves anymore? Most alluring.

Usually they would wear a headscarf to hide messy or unwashed hair which is a bit less alluring. Power showers and decent shampoo mean they no longer need to hide it.

Looks like something by Cold War Steve. Found myself looking to see where Dominic Cummings and Dr Harold Shipman were in the scene! Plus Phil Mitchell of course.

If you don't know Cold War Steve's work, check it out on social media.

What was the event btw?

The two lads in V necks (Paul McGann at the front and Barber at the back) are wearing sports shirts; V neck, purple body, black short sleeves. McGann is in white shorts. I am no expert but my guess would be field hockey.

No, sorry, don’t forget this is Withdean pre-drainage improvements of 2001. It looks, from the photo, that it’s been raining so the sport has to be water polo. The home team, Withdean Wetbacks, were playing Saltdean Snorkellers for the William Webfeet Wellies Shield. :drink:

Inter county Tug Of War championships ?

A quick google search tells me Sussex were champions in the mid 60’s.

Could such an event draw a large crowd in those days ?
