Sky, Tyler and Carragher really pissing me off tonight. Spent more time with cameras on Liverpool subs than on fouls On Maupay, trossard and MAC allister

Sky have no interest in us though. File under 'to be expected' and dust off when we play City.

Well I'm enjoying it.

When we've been good we've been bloody good and played Liverpool off the pitch.

Trossard has settled then.

Stephens, I’ve long been a fan but he just doesn’t fit what we’re doing. That role is Bissouma’s now, he can do the nitty gritty but more importantly he can play the quick one touch stuff.

That goal is a glimpse of the future everybody at the club is trying so hard to create. We’re a very long way from the finished article but in the moments where it all comes together it’s a real thrill.

This...

I think we’re a few players away from being some team. The football we play is incredible at times.

Counterpoint, wouldn’t it be nice to have someone on that flank who is doing what Trossard is doing on the other flank

True but he’s a no 10, not a winger. So intelligent though with his movement, pulls other players out allowing Lamptey space

Poor start but we have learned from
Last season. We have fight, we have ability. The problem is that we have loyalty to players not worthy to wear the shirt.
Bring on Biss and Mooy and we have hope. As it is Liverpool will over run us and score a couple more imho.

Well given the first 10 minutes, I'd certainly have taken this position at half time.

Very well worked and well taken goal, and we've looked decent going forward. Just a shame we've given ourselves such a mountain to climb against such a quality team by making silly, sloppy mistakes.
This - but other than the first 20 mins Brighton also had 3 very good half chances . . . if only.

It physically pains me watching Dale Stephens slowly chasing shadows all game, I’m sick of watching sides taking the piss passing around him. His positioning is appalling and then he can’t catch up as he looks like he’s towing a caravan chasing back. He looks totally lost and out of his depth. Will always be a club hero for being part of that promotion side but he needs to be put out of his misery now.

Propper on the other hand has been excellent since his mistake.

As you know I don’t agree with that but that was a lovely ball in the lead up to the goal, that was the Gross of 2017/2018 - hopefully he’s back!

I know - but that’s okay it’s a forum.
To me he pulls players out of position by sitting in pockets of space.

His drawback is his pace, intellectually he’s a genius in footballing terms

They both need to go and replace them with the quality of Lamptey then it's Champions League footie for us my lad..

Most of us aren't armchair fans. We remember where we came from and even more importantly where we still are today.

Two poor mistakes for the goals, but otherwise this is a good performance against one of the top teams in the world.

I agree with you but those errors every other game and you are relegated ...really dreadful ones but because few teams press like Liverpool I’m hoping that Webster as he grows into the Premier League will stop making them because if not he will go back to the championship in a season or two.. Stephens and Proper taking the ball side on from the back is just ff****ing scary
The hardest time to face the press is early in the game when the attacker#carecat the freshest.

Hopefully Bissouma is fit enough to do the second half, we’re missing his energy and tackling.

Graeme Souness is such a dinosaur, literally so miserable and no credit for us at all. Sooner he’s sacked off from the pundits team the better
