Could be that the Trump problem is about to solve itself as he's about to kill a large chunk of his voters.

He's been slashing taxes, getting rid of regulations, protecting the interests of US corporations (exhibit A. - Gilead) and shamelessly looking after his friends. And once all the legal protection of being president ends, who knows what tales he, and others around him, are going to start telling to try and save their skins.

£130,000,000 will sound like a bargain to avoid the party ending.

Trump has got away with so much scrutiny because (if intentional) he lobs out controversial talking points when he wants the focus on him distracted.

He's been doing this for years now. What would really annoy him is if people didn't turn their attention and started picking him in his record. He now has a track record and could easily be framed as the President who promised so much to his base but delivered so little to them.
