I have Amazon Prime. I won't be watching.

They’ve a bloody cheek haven’t they, advertising it like they’ve rescued football for the masses.

Was thinking exactly this - absolutely pointless fixture to be the only one today...

Neither side has much to play for and due to injuries there is unlikely to be a huge amount of skill or talent on display. This could easily be 0-0 and the most boring match of the season

But Palace's two games since Restart began have both been away – Plucky and Liverpool.

Tonight, they're at home.

So this is the world's first chance to see Palace's new stand in all its glory.

Football fans from across the globe are waiting for this moment, the unveiling of what's surely the greatest monument to football stadia ever imagined.

The game is but a mere sideshow.

Give Palace their due, this will be the first time that a full scale cardboard cutout stand will be shown on TV in all its glory - hope it doesn’t rain or those three tiers will become one. :drink:

Three tiers? Have you not seen the plans? It’s 16 tiers high, accommodating over a million fans on one side of the ground alone. The top 4 tiers are so far above mainland UK soil they’re currently subject to the Govt 14-day quarantine rules.

I am amazed that Palace have been able to keep any coverage of their scintillating new stand, out of the press.
To keep something so important to the country's cultural fingerprint under the radar like it has been, is a real tribute to all at Crystal palace, their board and owners.

Well Done Palace.

As a P.S., My daughters boyfriend has just applied for the ticketing and bookings managers post at Palace. The major drawback is he will get a free season ticket, if successful. The money is very good though.

Isn't it always at Palace ?

If we were mid table and playing Burnley would we be saying the same thing?

Yeah, maybe getting a bit ahead of ourselves. Most fans of especially the big clubs probably still don't see us as much bigger or bigger at all than the likes of Bournemouth and these two.

Having said that, re tonight, an end of season mid table clash is one thing, but then add in a very low scoring team against a team of cloggers and christ it doesn't get any more uninspiring than that

Its an utter slag of a fixture. I bet even the filth up the road are relieved they don't have to bother turning up for it.

I like this fixture, it is one half of my favourite stat that shows what a bunch of plastic glory hunting nobs the Nigels are. Remember, 51400 turned up to this fixture in 1979.

And just 4 years later, (one promotion and one relegation later) the gate was 4005 for Palace v Wimbledon.

Never let the plastic nigels tell us that we are not proper fans.

I won't be watching this one though. Dull.

The ONLY reason for ever watching this fixture would be to see if Agent Barnes could score against them, but even he's not playing.

For my sins, I’m watching this match ..... I couldn’t find it anywhere, until eventually I did on Amazon Prime.

Then immediately turning off the pathetic sound effects, which gave the completely false impression of a colossal crowd roaring on CP. Instead I can hear the coaching of a mouthy cockney ..... Ray Lewington?

I love hearing all the players and coaches. Makes it all sound very ordinary and recreation ground. :D
