Are you referring to question 12? I knew it. Honestly. It's been horrendous. Injuries, suspensions, flukey last minute goals by the opposition, dodgy penalties, bent refs. I can't wait for the season to be over.

Question 12 is correct. It's 10 of the others that are your problem.

35 starters, 25 finishers, 24 days & 3510 answers. The Championship goes down to the last question and so does the future league allocations in the Merit League.
But first, the final victorious players are :

Thanks to everyone who participated. Further special awards:

Whingers Trophy: Presented early to our Kevo as there was simply no competition.

The MASSIVE shield: Amex Ruislip who thinks Sheffield Wednesday are 13th in the Premier League.

The Nags Cup: Me for constantly and completely badgering for answers.

In line with normal football we now take a well earned break and may return in August if the demand is there. Oh….
I’m off with the cup final money.

Fantastic work Brighton Lines, and well done to all the winners! [emoji106]

If there is to be another competition in August, put my name down - perhaps if it's a league I might do a bit better. I won the league phase last time and both my groups this time, but came up short on my first knockout game on both occasions!

Bravo Brighton Lines. I'm well chuffed with runner up in League One despite apparently knowing very little:smile:

Well played Grombleton on winning the whole thing and hans kraay fan club for his Merit League win. Thanks to Brighton Lines for organising the whole thing, spend that cup final money on hookers and gin, you deserve it.

I'm off to enjoy the street party in Riga for our second place in the Merit League, all from a socially acceptable distance of course.

Congratulations Grombleton well done to all who played to the end. A successful competition played with integrity by all. This must go do an as one of the best competition ever.

A special thank you to the quiz master, Brighton Lines. Thank you for all your hard work not only setting the questions but the time and patience in marking them and updating the table. Also I would like to thank you for your digression in not disclosing who were responsible for some of the stupid answers.
I will definitely be up for the next competition if you are thinking about organising again.

Well, I am shocked that Oranje were able to finally slay the demons of tournaments past. Commiserations to John Boy who was a worthy opponent and should be very proud of himself and his charges! Congrats to hans kraay fan club too for the Merit League victory.

The biggest winner in all this is Brighton Lines though, for yet another stellar quiz - challenging, infuriating and hard to work out...but enough about him. The quiz was run in an exemplary way and i can't think of a better quizmaster.

Grombleton when is the open top bus journey? Social distancing to be observed, and can I bring my family along and have a photograph with the trophie.

It'll be the weekend after next. I can't guarantee the distancing, but it won't just be the bus that will be TOPLESS.

Genuinely sounds like some of the old school reports I found in my Dad's house.

Mid-table respectability and a 'special' trophy. NO COMPLAINTS from me.

Congratulations to PILTDOWN MAN for winning our personal head-to-head. I knew it would be close - Georgia and Luxembourg separated by a single place in the final table (and who knows what would have happened were it not for a few HIGHLY DUBIOUS decisions). I'm sure this most unlikely of rivalries will continue come August. The Grand Duchy and its loyal army of fans are ready to take the Championship by storm.

And of course well-played Grombleton and hans kraay fan club and I guess a GRUDGING thanks is due to Brighton Lines
