"There is living tapestry of men and women and people and the beauty of that tapestry and the quality of our lives will depend upon how much each of us is prepared to take responsibility for ourselves and each of us prepared to turn round and help by our own efforts those who are unfortunate."

remember that bit too?
No, but I vividly remember having to deal with many people with lives ruined by Thatcher's policies.

That is still stuck in the useless anti-social mind set that sees us all as individual, empowered, actors making rational choices in our own self perceived best interests.

At best it's a liberal day dream at worst a neo-liberal nightmare.

We are social animals utterly dependent on/supportive off, shaping and shaped by, each other.

Get to grips with that shared reality and we might be able to really start helping and respecting each other (and the world we live in); the alternative, as has been pointed out before, is barbarism.

How will this end one several options

1. Herd immunity
2. A vaccine is developed
3. The virus becomes a seasonal norm

How will humanity evolve post Covid19 depending upon the above options 1.2.3.

1.

It didn't come across that way from the tone of your reply.

If there was such a tone, it was unintentional. If I see a thread title that annoys me or I think will be a waste of time, I don't bother opening it.

Another thread from Preacher Spielberg, sigh

Cut him some slack. From other posts Uncle Spielberg has revealed stress, possibly depression, with this latest situation pressing more of his bad buttons. It's good to emote

Yep, idiots in charge of UK, USA, brasil, Russia etc could not give a damn. It would be lovely to see action taken to maintain more local economies and avoid unnecessary travel etc but they won't. Money is everything to them, money and power is all they care about.

Interesting selection of countries - any more to add?

Look this is not about me I will take my chances like we all do. I do not care about me I am more bothered about my pup and if I can continue to look after him but I will rail against people that seem to ramp it up and make it worse, post 22 and throw a grenade in just to cause damage and post I cannot even tie my shoe laces together. Which I consider to be Libel. It is. It was done for no other reason but to cause maximum distress. We need to look after each other more than ever now and words can have devastating results. I do not think I am a bad person and asked mods to take the post off as so far they have not. We need to help each other atm not rip them to pieces

Not that I am religious but the Bible and other Holy Books did warn that a metaphorical " Plague of Locus " would sweep across and destroy everything in it's path.

I don't really subscribe to it but you will get all the " Bible Bashers " claiming that this is " God's Wrath " being thrust upon us . All the while as they feel a self entitled elitest view that they are " God's Own Children " and that God spoke to them and told them to panick buy at the supermarket in order to survive this. A modern day Noah's Ark if you will.

Advance apologies for my sceptical religious viewpoint if it offends anyone.

Sceptical and extremely inaccurate. The. Bible bashers I know have been trying to look after the older people and food banks.

Met you many years ago, regarding ashes for the defrocked Priest.

I'd suggest sending me a pm, and a coffee old fella. x
