Indeed Bozza it’s tough at the Pantry at the moment. I met some great people today that have shown amazing support travelling down at short notice to get their pie fix and rather overwhelmed to be honest.

Some may say it’s naive but we have around 90% of our sales revenue from Sports and other Stadia (Excel, NEC, Olympia and Harry Potter world) the other stadia to reduce the risk from Sports stadiums. I don’t think anyone could begrudge Piglets not being able to foresee these circumstances.

We are working fast on creating an online website ordering platform that will have a delivery service - It seemed very amateur at times today but everyone that came in embraced the chaos and we thank you for your patience and support.

One thing we didn’t quite have the time to react to is that the pies sold today were not for Brighton as they have had their order, seemed we had someone interpret it that way and developed from there! Wanted to point this out as it wasn’t something said from our end, but I have only just had a breather since about 4pm yesterday afternoon as orders flooded in!

I think i will order some but what are the Albion doing with their pies? How many did you send them?

I never knew you also supplied Excel, NEC etc. You’re quite a success story. I hope the Albion community can help keep you ticking over until some sense of normality returns to the world. I’ll be buying once the online system is set up. Good luck.

50mile round trip. one good-sized box of pies and sausage rolls snaffled.
Should just about last me the weekend - althogh my better half has this crazy notion of freezing some and 'saving them for later'.
It's no good. I love her deraly, but she'll have to go.

Hopefully that small contibution will help piglets a little (if not my waistline).
Thanks to the OP for letting us know, and thanks to Shoreham Beach Seagull for all the work that you put in - switching from wholesale to retail in less than 24hrs can't have been easy.

They can be frozen with a 3 month shelf life, we wouldn’t deliver frozen for the time being though

Thanks. I'm not averse to going online to order half a dozen so Mrs Earle and I can still enjoy a matchday pie on the days that would have been a home match. After all, I'd miss them if and when football restarts and all I could get is a Pukka in Dick's.

Would be grand if social media rumours could be spread - or an Easy 10 special leaked to the Argus - about panic buying of Piglets Pies

In all honesty, I used to work full time for my mum but have since gone onto a different job. I do part time hours with finance bits etc. Jo was at Cheltenham yesterday so I jumped on the sales email address after my job and was absolutely swamped which is great. On to your question, where I work very limited hours I don’t actually know the answer, I just know from working there for 7 years our fridges would have been a lot more full!

A success story due to Jo’s hard work and Brighton giving us the opportunity, Jo only had that small cake shop before our big break with the Amex opening. That really wouldn’t have been possible without the fans of Brighton getting behind us as a company. I wouldn’t want to take anything away from my mum as she has an amazing business mind, but the fans are what has got us to where we are today.

I spoke to Jo and she couldn’t believe you’d made such a journey to help with the cause! I know we spoke briefly but we are greatly thankful, sorry if we seemed a bit rushed off our feet.

As mentioned in my earlier post, I will buy some Piglet pastry products when the online system is up and running. Over here the streets are quiet and sales are down; for the past two nights I have been responding to a request from the craft beer community to help out by visiting local bars and consuming beer.

Selflessness and altruism has never been so easy.

Shoreham Beach Seagull - can you post the weekday opening times on here.

Like many, I'm going to be working from home for the next couple of weeks so having a stash of quality pies and sausage rolls to see me through lunchtimes would be great!

We’re in Brighton, so that online route would be great. Would rather buy your lovely pies, than those from many of the supermarkets.

Please keep NSC up to date.

Sounds like a great idea, thank you for the support!

Just spoke to Jo, we are looking at opening times of 8:30am - 5:30pm for next week.

If you are able to send any order requests to sales@pigletspantry.co.uk beforehand that would be great as we can let you know if we have everything in stock!

I never quite got round to ordering any today but were they sold any cheaper than usual what with them being stuck with so many.
