Kicker say yes.
I'm pretty sure they know an awful lot more about what's happening in German football than Naylor.

I don't think Naylor has a clue these days unless its confirmed somewhere else first.

The cycle is this...

- Albion linked with player
- Albion fans ask Naylor if there's anything in the link to the player
- Naylor asks his club contact (Barber, I assume)
- Naylor replays what he's told

So, it's not Naylor saying "no", it's the club, using a convenient medium so that they don't have to say anything official, yet get to manage fan expectations.

So, if Naylor says "no", the club are saying "no".

The only rumour he has 'confirmed' was hwang hee-chan and that happened to have been broken by a colleague at The Athletic.

That didn't go anywhere.

Could still happen but looking likely to be in the summer now, they sold their other striker to Liverpool.

A quick look at the league table and the sites which detail the transfer activity of our rivals suggest to me that waiting for the summer to sign someone might not be a good idea

That's all very well Bozza but does it translate that it's on or its off or it was never on in the first place?

You might be right, but I was just pointing out that this player could still be a Brighton player but unlikely to be in January.

Bozza do you still stand by what you said a couple of weeks ago that we will definitely be getting a striker in before the end of the transfer window ???
👍👍👍

Newcastle, Watford, Bournemouth, and Villa now alledgedly piling in to sign him.

The agent's work is done.

I worry that his name is an anagram of Silkie Dave.....

I worry that Selkie’s are “seal folk", mythological beings capable of therianthropy, changing from seal to human form by shedding their skin. Mind you, seals are excellent at ball control.

I see Hertha Berlin have just signed Spurs target Piatek, so Selke can't have impressed new manager Klinsmann that much.

Selke will fall down the pecking order now. He ticks a lot of our boxes.

We won’t pull the trigger on this deal unless he’s carrying an injury as well

Cheap and can't score :ffsparr: I'll get my coat

It’s not a bad analogy... but I gave faith if he signs he’ll be decent... on paper it doesn’t send hearts racing though!
