But you can't stop sceptics from scrutinising and criticising what they fear may well do damage to the people of this country....

In fairness, when I posed the statement to you that gave you the opportunity to answer the question yourself and demonstrate how you actually were not a weasel undemocratic loon, I already knew you would be unable to show in any way that you were not one. Your complete avoidance just confirms what I already knew, what you are and what you will never be able to hide., ie that you are a weasel undemocratic loon.

Literally nothing of any substance has been offered yet, but it's going to be worth constantly pointing out the facts and lies. For example, one fact is that Boris is heading for a very relaxed immigration policy which is a good thing for those who care about the country. He's hoping that by sounding tough and knowing his base will believe the rhetoric and not the facts he can get away with no one noticing it I think. Tories scrapped the immigration targets in their manifesto though and are dropping the 30k salary limit too. He knows the economy depends on it which is why successive governments didn't restrict EU migration as much as they could have (nothing to do with EU laws). One group is even saying the points based system could lead to a "steep rise" in immigration. This is a good thing, but not what the Tories I know thought they'd be getting...

During the election Boris told there will be no more immigrants unless they were paid at least £30k p.a so no more imported cheap labour, so loads of people of Workington will get whopping pay rises

And on top of that there will be blue passports as well

Good to know that those who were against immigration controls now consider the eventual ending of free movement for EU nationals to be a "relaxed immigration policy". I always thought those that said ending free movement was horrible were being rather over dramatic.

I read through all this with an ever increasing sense of incredulity, this is pure Fantasy Island rambling of the highest order.

I particularly raised an eyebrow when it referred to the UK's " Strong Economy " and great government leadership! ... Then after all that we see we can find out more at The Daily Mail....suddenly it all falls in to place. This might almost have been cobbled together from the collected ramblings of Johnson covertly recorded at a cocktail party as he slowly became more drunk.

The end of free movement of EU nationals is horrible a disaster, just ask the NHS or agriculture. That's exactly why the government is now breaking promises and relaxing the immigration policy to try and make up for it. There's no contradiction in being happy about that increase in immigration and cultural diversity while lamenting the decline in numbers from the EU. Don't worry though, we've still sacrificed our own freedom of movement so that promise was kept.

It will be interesting to see how low that threshold goes as surely the point of it is to make sure the 'right' kind of people come.

I wonder what this means for Workington man? I suppose that if the threshold is kept high then there will be less competition for jobs at the lower end of the scale.

I suppose as long as the threshold doesn't get too low it could work out better for those on s lower scale and be worth giving up the opportunity to work in the EU.

Here's hoping this will do become clearer in the coming months.

In hindsight wouldn't it have been great to have these details to have during the original vote.

In the same breath you have said the new immigration regime under Boris will be a " relaxed immigration policy". Why bother? There's no point arguing with these anti-democratic losers anymore. Ignore them and just celebrate the fact that however much they whinge and cry, we are in the majority and we ARE leaving on Friday night. These are fantastic times to be British. We can finally be proud of our country and I truly believe we have a Prime Minister we can be proud of too. Just rejoice like I'm sure you will and leave the bitter remoaners to drown in their bile.

There is no doubt that you won, we are leaving the EU and you should enjoy your celebrations and Big Ben Bong. With yourself, Two profs, Ppf, Mouldy Boots, Baker lite (well that's two of you, at least) Nigel Farage, Jacob Rees-Mogg, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon and Ann Widdecombe, I bet the party will be an absolute delight

(Shame I won't be able to make it as I will be washing my hair or watching paint dry or something)

I just think that the Government should be held to account to ensure that it delivers exactly what it promised you during the election campaign in order to get your vote. I'm sure you wouldn't want it to turn out that you have been naive and lied to. So, we just need to ensure that over the next 11 months (if Johnson hasn't lied ), you get what you voted for and find out what you have won. Surely only an idiot wouldn't want that.

I'm afraid the only thing you have won so far is a border down the Irish Sea with onerous new administrative procedures for anything moving across it in both directions, causing significant problems for business on both sides of this new border. (Afraid he lied about 'no new administration or processes' during the campaign).

I bet you can't wait to see what else you have won over the next 11 months

Yes i am happy free movement will be coming to an end.
I truly believe an immigration system that does not discriminate unfairly for EU citizens over other nationalities will be a benefit to the country.
