Just looks increasingly like a Big Two nowadays. When dreary speedy teams like Leicester built fairly and squarely on ratboy Vardy's goals are right up there in contention and dull old Wolves and Sheffield United FFS are sniffing around the top six, then it would be a mark of shame if the Albion DIDN'T stake a major claim as a Top Ten side. And sooner rather than later. So much cannon fodder in this league, irrespective of the bottom line. WAY too many multi millionaires with no inner engine currently stealing a living from the game.

Nah. There's still a 'big six', it's just not a 'top six'. Your point about this being a good time to try to push on and establish ourselves as a top ten side still holds true, but there is still an aura/hype around the traditional 'big six' sides that will permeate football - coverage, expectations, etc.

Why not? Connolly is our Rooney. Our next Zamora. Just needs a few more relatively minor upgdades like, say, on Stephens, sign Mooy on a permanent, one more smart and proven goalscorer and we could easily be right there in the mix. Why does it always have to be some other club?

The league in its entirety is stronger than it has ever been. Remember all four finalists of the European comps last season were from the top 6, and that excludes City.

It's the strength of the other 14 clubs that has made it so tricky for the other "big 6" to keep up with the likes of Liverpool and City - both of which will probably go on to be considered two of the greatest teams of all time.

I really don’t see the league as being stronger. Imho the reason some of the traditional big-6 are struggling isn’t because the other teams are stronger.....it’s because they are more sloppy than they have been in recent years. Man City, Chelsea and Spurs are all a long way from the heights they have reached in previous seasons.

Man City, Chelsea and Spurs are all a long way from the heights they have reached in previous seasons.

Because they learned not to sack a manager that was making progress by keeping the side in the top league which was the thing expected of him. He deserved so much better.

Absolutely. Weve been fantastic to watch in many many games this season - so good to watch that most pundits have recognised how much of a breath of fresh air our playing style has been and how well we've played, yet we find ourselves two points above the drop zone at the half way stage. Shows how bloody tough the league is . as frustrating as our season has been results wise so far, it's great to be part of the Prem this season where so many teams are taking points off each other and even City arent invincible for a change.
