...for Leyton Orient against Brighton & Hove Albion at Brisbane Road.
Orient won 2-0 and how Orient fans rejoiced.
On Saturday Orient go to Cambridge in League 2 (Division 4) and Brighton & Hove Albion are at home to Sheffield United in the Premier League.

Who is rejoicing now ?

Whatever your thoughts or individual views of the last 23 years we’ve been through at lot together and on occasions we may have put personal thoughts and aspirations ahead of just being a dedicated unified Albion fan.

To you all a Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Shelton could have stayed in the dressing room, and we still wouldn’t have scored.
We were absolute dogshit that day.

It was no doubt too foggy.

One of the OP's favourite themes.

Remember staying after the final whistle for a quick round of ‘sack the board’ songs, and then we went to leave, the police wouldn’t let us out for another 20 minutes. Extremely petty.

Funnily enough, I watched the infamous documentary on Leyton Orient a few days ago.

Poor old John Sitton, not only did he look and sound like one of the Kray brothers, but he had f*ck all to spend and just a few 'professionals' to work with.

The best rant ever at half-time away to Brentford. Absolute nutter but what an impossible job. This was 1994/95 - close to our troubles. Barry Hearn came in and saved them. There's good footage out there!

Memorable for the day that got me signed up for NSC. I was sceptical about NSC but I met Wozza in the queue to get into Orient and he persuaded me that NSC had got rid of the nutters and I should register. I'm not sure that was quite true but I'm still here 23 years later

I was there. Ive just realised I'm bloody old. Where does time go?

Still feels surreal playing in the premier League now. You just wouldn't have dreamt it in those days.

Was that the trip to Orient where they refused to open the terrace until the seats were full? Resulted in thousands outside the ground at 3pm as they didn’t open the turnstiles until just before kickoff. Also searched as all for anti Archer banners.

Certainly something to savour.

Oh maybe not, in your case.

I didn't go to that one, but did go to the one in our promotion season from the bottom league when we won 2-0 (I'm going to guess Zamora and Brooker scored because that was basically every game then) and we marched our way through Leyton chanting and singing afterwards. That was a good day out :)

Brighton factually.....

Great day and we finally killed the monkey on our back, I posted this on another thread recently funnily enough about Orient and Bournemouth

"I have in mind that Bournemouth are our bogey team like Leyton Orient were back in the mid 90s when we had the rivalry that was annoying in that it was entirely dreamed up by them. Yes I hated them so much at the time from Scott McCunt, Barry wanting us to have points deducted all because some Albion fan wanted to play tag with Ray Wilkins, and yes we struggled to beat them even when they had the oldest goalkeeper in the league playing for them in front of the cameras again.....
It was not until we smashed them in our promotion season I think 3-0 when we packed out their away end that we finally shook them off our backs and went looking for Palace again.

That is how I see Bournemouth, not in the same rivalry why, but I am hoping after beating them in the cup last year we can now beat them home and away this year and put them to one side, we have moved on and they will get relegated.

There is a logic in that somewhere.....

Is there ?"
