Praise from Pardew about how loud our fans were too, and then 'i don't like to say that as an ex palace manager, but they were'...

Funny, i thought it was quite quiet on telly. I guess there wasn't a tv mike in that corner

A lucky win - despite being probably the better team - but this is a big win the context of the season.

So, which one is it?

I suspect that if VAR didn't exist that linesman would have stuck up his flag - VAR allows the officials to do nothing and let the video decide - it is happening in all kinds of situations. VAR should be scrapped.

VAR was wonderful tonight.

Amazon prime pundits really bigging us up - Pardew even joking about the Palace connection.

Please explain how that was a lucky win?
Oh FFS sake don't ask him that - another huge chunk of wordy analysis from our resident football - sorry, Hughton - expert will just be waiting in the wings....................

Just out of interest - does Private Eye still run its 'Pseud's Corner' feature?

At 1-1 Arsenal had at least 4 chances that they should have scored from -

Over the entire game Brighton were the better team - but they had a very dodgy 30 minutes in the second half. It really was a frenzied game - with both sides looking very vulnerable at the back. Ultimately what won it for Brighton was that they played as a team - Arsenal played like a bunch of individuals (and it is clear that several of the players want out asap).

So - where was the 'luck'. We also had at least two more chances we should have scored from, and quite a few more we could have scored from.

What a night. I've spent eight hours on trains today for a two hour meeitng. Finally got in the door at 8.14. Phone was on 2% due to posting on here on the journey to stop me going mad. Wanted to go but work means midweekers are a no no right now, yet managed to pass a load of Brighton at Vctoria.

So glad I made it back in time. We were amazing. Our fans were loud. Our tactics were right. Our play was superb. Our finishing was.....ok....because we could have won by more. Mooy was outstanding. Alzate slotted into right back like a natural. Arsenal were cowed.

Kudos to Potter. Kudos to the team and the fans who went. THIS is what football is all about :ascarf:

Please pull the plug and ban him. He lied for months as being pro Albion, just gutted about CH.

With all due respect sunshine - I have never lied about anything on this forum - refusing to answer questions to satisfy those who engage in spineless insults, is not lying.

All the Gooners I know are really quiet tonight. Usually, they are the gobbiest armchair fans I know.

Superb win, superb performance. 20 shots away at Arsenal! Should have won more convincingly but no complaints from me, we fully deserved it.

One things that pisses me off is the BBC with the headline "Arsenal lose at home to Brighton", erm no, it was very much "Brighton deservedly win at Arsenal". Drives me mad how they refuse to acknowledge our performance and result just because Arsenal are a much bigger club. I could understand and forgive it if we had done a smash-and-grab job tonight, but we didn't. We outplayed them for large parts!

A massive result for several reasons;

1. Three points away from home, always tough in any division
2. That'll send a message to teams around us that we're starting to find our feet
3. Puts out a message we aren't the old Brighton anymore of Spurs away last term, we play football now
4. Should be a big confidence boost for the lads, and good to see Maupay bag one in particular

and a class header from the blooming shorthouse!

You were doing a good job at keeping your anti-Brighton/anti-Potter posts subtle until tonight. Now you’ve consigned yourself to the bin of trolls and WUMs.

Again - demonstrate where I have posted any anti-Potter posts and where I have post any anti-Brighton posts - seriously - I would love to see them.
