VAR has been a game changer and not for the better the only exception being Mr Tippytoppy I was sure VAR would catch him out out big time instead he's been forced to stay on his feet the result half way through the season and he's only scored one goal

I was wrong about Man City. I thought they would carry on winning every week.

While I can see what other posters are saying when they write that Sheff utd have been a breath of fresh air, and some of their results and performances have indeed been promising, I too think that you are correct and that they will eventually start to slide down the table.

Never expected the managers of both Spurs and Arsenal to have gone before December.

Based on our game there, never expected Newcastle to be ahead of us by now.

Never expected both Andone and Locadia to be shipped out in the opening weeks of the season.

Never expected to be this far into the season and still not have the majestic new stand at Selhurst open, to the awe and envy of the entire football world. Surely it must be almost finished by now?

Fun to watch is a BIG plus to me, we are going in the right direction

If you are no better than last season in the tables how are you going in the right direction? You are not going in any direction. You just look better in some fans eyes. That is the proverbial "nothing" that SIMMO appreciates.

Championship?

The team needs better concentration and organisation in key moments defending, as well as the (much discussed this week) more confidence when in attack.

Lots of work to do, we’re in the relegation mix.

So you didn’t expect to be in a relegation struggle? I did and much earlier than we have arrived in the mix, the current run of games was obviously going to be a tough patch.so no surprise at all to me to be where we are. I think it may get worse before it gets better too

I guess I’m enjoying this year’s relegation battle so far and yes I do think we’re going in the right direction in the long term, even if we get relegated this season. I know that sounds very Irish

Besides not getting slaughtered at Anfield and blowing the GD away what did we accomplish there? Another zero in points. We haven't turned any corners (not the ones on the pitch) in being successful. We are hiding in place.

Well our away fans now feel it's worthwhile them turning up.

If enjoying this season so far, even with the defeats, makes me a loser then it’s not me who has the problem. I am looking at the bigger picture and plenty of clubs have gone down and come back stronger if they are set up right. Not saying we will but I’d rather go down playing like this than stay up playing like we did last season, when we were likely losers from the kick off.

Different strokes for different folks.

Never thought the Dunk and Duffy partnership would be broken

I wasn't excited at all about Potter and noticed before the seaon how on here an hysteria was whipped up for him for no reason and many people got caught up in it all.

Whilst we are only just above the relegation spots we can at least say some of our football has been a joy to watch but I would like to see that level reached a lot more and more points to come from it.

I expected Chelsea to struggle but recognise part of why they are 4th is because they have mainly played the lesser clubs and also because Man U/Aresnal and Spurs are having such bad seasons.

Shef U have truly mugged us off being so hign in their first season.

Oh that's a good one.
I'd have ripped into anyone suggesting that in July.

Although technically I wasn't wrong about it as I didn't really think about it but, I really didn't expect the league to be so close this season. Although teams will struggle in the 2nd half of the season, this could be a season needing a record number of points to stay up.
