HT whistle goes and immediately five live surmise saying Liverpool could had 5 or 6. How is that a good first half performance? Both goals described as gifts. Other teams get results or don’t implode so easily and quickly as we do against top 3 or 4 sides. We always do. Dare I say, Palace manage to win these sorts of games relatively regularly. We don’t even score. So Palace must be a great club or we’re just inexcusably (now) a bit shite when it comes to playing top sides away from home. Which is it to be?

NOBODY has won at Anfield for 44 games but don’t let that stop you ranting that we aren’t

funny how many saying gross the weak link again (no surprises here) but i wonder how many of them saying gross is a must starter!. alzate to start second half

I actually enjoyed that half. We’re playing away to the best team in Europe and playing quite well. Been done by 2 excellent set pieces which can happen but we are playing some decent stuff.

Particular credit to Ryan, Propper and Connolly.

Gross on the other hand?! Just a wierdly bad performance, can’t understand it at all, like a sunday league player has won a competition or something. He’s totaly off the pace and seems to have lost the ability to control the ball. I’d have taken him off for Alzate earlier but definitely now.

Would like to see Trossard and Alzate 2nd half. Trossard gives us an attacking option and Alzate can hold the ball.

Horrible to concede from two set pieces but I think we're actually playing pretty well against the champions of europe.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of that too second half.

Been a tough run of games in November, hasn't it.

Not half and so far I think Leicester were better.....

Expecting us to turn it round at the Case end [emoji6][emoji2]

Bad start, but a good bit of pressure for 10 minutes or so where Dunk and Connolly could have scored. Get a goal Brighton and get in their faces.

Calm down dear. We've played well. 50 - 50 possession. Same pass accuracy. Less chances.

Should be 2-1

If you don’t have a clinical finisher or two, and if you gift them two set piece headers, then you haven’t done well. That said I liked our play for the last 20 mins - we were very good in possession.

Still not convinced by Webster. Duffy should surely have started today.

Burn seems ok at left back, but Webster looks a bit star struck. Is he really better than Duffy? It's a bit frustrating to watch really, one minute looks like we could tear them apart, next, we regress to the little boys dreaming of playing professional football at a world famous stadium. I'm liking Proppers contribution, but are the league leaders sitting back because we've allowed them to take a two goal lead?
Mooys corner? OMG, As I said, very frustrating........(growls frustratingly)

That actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting...

Two soft goals but other than that it's not been too bad. Liverpool do look like they have another gear they can go into but then that's too be expected, they are the Champions of Europe and have only lost once in the league in 50 plus games.

Bissouma hasn't been great but Gross has been way off the pace. The worst I've seen him play. I'd maybe swap those two for Alzate and Trossard, if not at half time then certainly within 15 minutes or so. It might be worth bringing on maupay too, we're poor defensively so lets go for a shoot out!

I think that Klopp will give his players a bit of a bollicking at half time for letting Brighton back into the game - don't be surprised to see them coming out in the second half and driving for a third in the first few minutes - if Brighton can weather that then it might end up a reasonible (if losing) performance - if Liverpool get a third then punish:

Well I’m really impressed with how we’re playing and although Ryan has had a blinder we have had our chances. This is arguably the best team in thw world, in form at home, and we are giving them a game.

Dunk has been the weakest link, never expected to say that. At fault for a goal and missed a sitter.

Not over yet but the inevitable third will probably come.

Propper looking absolute class on the ball and Bissouma, for a start after so long, doing well too

Ref’s a bit of a homer too imo

Did I say I was impressed with how we’re trying to play?

Think Webster was beaten on the goal. I could be wrong.

We’re doing okay in places, but We look a bit unbalanced on the left.

6 attempts on target, to our 1.

CP under all their managers over the last 9 seasons, have always had the same game plan (home and away). Mugs teams on the counter, with pace. It works best away from home, they’ve won everywhere with it.

Connolly must have been to the Elvis Manu Academy the amount of times he seems to have been offside today. Poor to concede from 2 set pieces, could have defended both better, Dunk should have done better with the chance he had. Ryan has made 3 very good saves too. We've been good in possession for the last 20 mins or so but not created much.
