As he has claimed to have some sort of teaching role in the past I'm a bit concerned there are stationary cupboards full of students that disagreed with/insulted him but I'm sure he's ok really .. social media can bring out the worst in people.

Indeed
Shocked to find out he is actually a teacher but thinks opinions he doesn’t agree with should be ignored. Sure he isn’t that daft though to take his stupid stance into the classroom and just uses it here on NSC though. His students would think him odd after all if he did stand for what he preaches in general on NSC
Saying that, the ignorers that make me laugh are the ones that say im ignoring you but press the button to read the posts anyway so they can see whats going on, and then say I am reading the poster I am ignoring and glad I have them on ignore so I don’t have to reply and have now put them back on ignore, and I want everyone who isn’t interested in the slightest to know what I have done. Its a bit narcissistic Trump crackers isn’t it.
Oh wait, I think that might be HWT

There are a couple of posters I ignore but none on the list.

I tried it for a bit but always had a quick look to see if they were posting their usual gubbins.

Now I tend to start reading, suspect it is gubbins, check the username and move on,

Yes, a lot of people who just being downright abusive towards Chris last year, decided I could do without that kind of vitriol, turns out they were the pretty much the same people being overly aggressive on politics threads as well.

I do tend to click to see what they have to say on threads I'm following, so I guess I'm not properly ignoring them though

I use the Ignore function, to block the always spiteful vitriol from some sad haters here. Life’s too short to come across and see their hate.

I found a similar thing, in that many of those spouting hatred, are also uncaring/nasty about stuff like mental health. Confirming their very limited cognitive functions.

(IMHO they don’t tend to be all left or right wing, Brexit or Remain. Just angry middle aged men). I don’t mind political debates with the other many intelligent people on NSC, even where we disagree.

I pretty much ignored a PM sent to me that was about a subject I knew absolutely nothing about. The poster (who I've forgotten who it was from) expected me to know all about the mental health condition and classing me as a 'victim' of it almost before I thought 'enough's enough'. It was insulting.

I'm sure they were on a wind-up. I just deleted it straightaway. In fact I very rarely read any PM's before I bin them now. I don't have the time I'm afraid.

Being on a forum and ignoring people seems daft to me. The world is a diverse place isn't it.

All the Palace muppets are n my ignore list.

There are lots of Albion fans on here that I disagree with but I am happy to ignore their posts if necessary, but I cannot be bothered with the bile and bitterness and bollox that the vermin spout.

Surely somebody will come along and have something to say on this subject Hillian.
Are we the only two on here today?

Do you have anyone on yours?

If you do, do you tell everyone, especially the person on your ignore list?

If you do, does it give you a stiffy?
.

Yes (although I usually end up peeking at what they wrote if it's an interesting thread).

No.

Er...no.

Don't use the ignore button, but never check notifications, only PM's ,so ignore how others respond.I suppose there are too many fragile people on here to bring back the 'thumbs-down' button?

Yes. When I come on here - which isn't very often now (posting anyway).

Building up quite a list now.

Think I’m only on the one (obviously as far as I’m aware) not sure why I’m on his. It appears a badge of honour.
