Maupay 6 poor finishing today
Connolly 7 ran the channels well

Duffy 8 really pleased for him
Trossard 9 enjoy him while we’ve got him. A goal and another assist in half an hour isn’t bad

Norwich aren’t up to much. We should have battered them

Not in Whitechapel
Ryan - 7 - Didn’t need to make a save. Distribution decent.

Montoya - 6 - Still the weak link IMO, but a good cross for the first goal, redeemed himself for stinkers in the first half.
Dunk - 8 - Just a phenomenal footballer
Webster - 6 - Played well until going off. Love his mazy runs forward
Burn - 7 - Solid performance.

Stephens - 7 - Another solid performance
Propper - 7 - Think he’ll divide opinions today. Did some stuff really well but thought he completely lacked end product and his passing was pretty wayward .
Groß - 5 - Not quite at the races today.
Alzate - 7 - Tried a bit too hard at times but a serious talent. Decision making will come with experience. Unlucky not to score

Connolly - 7 - Must be a nightmare to defend against
Maupay - 6 - Should have scored. Lucky not to be sent off.

Duffy - 8 - Slotted in well but looks shaky on the ball still. Great finish though.
Trossard - How the f*ck do we have him? Magician. Enjoy him in a Brighton shirt whilst we can.

Norwich were not good

Ryan 6 - that nonsense with Stephens was crazy. needs to kick long and more accurately if we are to optimise the pace up front.
Montoya 6 - mixed bag but latter part of the game much better
Webster 6
Dunk 9 MOTM for his consistency throughout the game. Unbelievable play today. if he does not get a call up on that then he never will (again)
Burn 7 - did pretty well. I think people are forgetting that this is is his first season at this level
Gross 6 - frustrating , can't see him being first choice much longer Trossard and Mooy offer more
Stephens 6 bad game for him today passing was weak
Propper 9 stunning performance. I usually think he is overrated but today he was great despite 3 dodgy crosses and a poor off target shot. made up for Stephens being bad and one sublime pass in second half.
Alzate 7 did ok but needs a bit more development around decision making but what a great talent if he continues to develop
Maupay 7 poor finishing today but what a lot of constructive running shame we can't morph him and Murray
Connolly 7 ran the channels well and two fantastic crosses late in first half which could/should have led to 2 goals

Duffy 8 played very well and hope his doubters saw the value he brings. Both our strikers could learn finishing skills from him because that goal was very good.
Trossard 9 game changer and injects movement and speed which was missing from Gross
Schelotto 7 a small cameo but pleased for him helped push forward and nearly scored as well

Norwich were not good and we probably should have won 5 - 0 BUT lets be clear at this level margins are thin, they could have scored but hit the bar had they scored ten we have to chase the game and they are dangerous in those situations. We did what we had to and got 3 points...

I agree with that.
I thought Connolly was very lively too and deserves a 7.5 . 8 for Duffy imo for coming on being solid plus scoring with a lovely touch.

Maupay poor first half but much better second.

Would like to see Mooy back in the middle. Deserved to be benched today though after the red card.

All in all, very pleasing result and performance. First half we didn't quite click and found it hard to break them down, but second half played some great stuff and really took control of the game. Really hope Trossard stays fit!

It was a tough call for me between Montoya and Propper for MOTM but Propper was just so classy throughout , turns of pace on the wing and decent crosses, nice touches in the middle he was immense!
