I’m sure that Bulgarian group that left at 45 minutes won’t be waiting for England fans outside....

I don't think they were booing because they were being racist, though. They were (rightly or wrongly) sticking up for their player who denied vehemently that hed said what Bong claimed he did. Black players obviously play at Burnley all the time and don't suffer racism, so the incident with Bong was clearly very different

Racist Rodriquez wasn’t their player, at the time, he was in the process of being relegated with WBA.
I accept he is from Burnley, and was a youngster with them, but, would we boo a black player that had an altercation with, say, Solly March, if he had moved on?
I was there that day, there was definitely racist undertones.

I think at Burnley that day, there was so many Burnley fans who were going to boo Bong whatever happened, it enabled others to join in . If there were only 10-20 of them, they wouldn’t have had the balls to do it. It’s easier to pick out one or two using racist language, amongst many who don’t, than it is when a whole block is booing a black player, for whatever reason.

Bollocks I have heard LOADS of white players being booed.

I see you’re still struggling with the English language you seek to defend.

I don’t care how many white players you’ve heard being booed. You said booing, regardless of the reason, does not constitute racism. Yet, if fans are booing Mings and Sterling exclusively that, quite clearly *is* racist.

Your “regardless of the reason”wording is utter cobblers because targeted booing IS racist - as proved tonight.

Honey go talk to, at, someone else. Additionally I do not necessarily struggle with the english language. However I guess if you have decided I do, well then, I suppose your superiority feeling convinces you I must!

I was enraged at half-time so I didn't make an angry outburst.

For what the England players and coaching staff went through with that, I am so proud of them. Racists will never win - you've disgraced your country tonight. Shame on you scum.

For god sake what is it with you people. This country has a spattering of racism, we are talking about mass racism in Bulgaria. Bloody typical of you 'woke' wankers. Players are booed from all sides for reasons other than racism you know. Anyhow I still do not completely understand your point other than you want to disagree with me!

The Rivet, you hastily edited your ‘lefty c-units’ comment, what gives? You’d better not be a bloody Tory!

Why does it have to be about left and right? There are left wing anti semites in the UK just now.

I’m not left wing, yet I condemn racists from Brighton, Burnley, Bulgaria, France, The States, wherever.

I agree that the situation is far, far worse on the continent.

If you look back through my posts I agree with you. I think we have pockets of isolated racism at games but nothing CLOSE to the scale tonight that we saw. My point about the game tonight was that if fans are only booing black players and not the white ones then yes, that can be seen to be targeted.

Rightly or wrongly (and they were definitely wrong), I imagine you already know there was a bit more to that than simply booing him because of his skin colour.

Of course there was more to it but standing a few feet away from them when they were doing it there were some who you felt it was more than them supporting "one of their own"

Interesting to see that once all the black hooded Palace Ultras left the home end, there weren't any problems.

The de facto pondlife uniform clearly saves time and makes things much easier for the authorities.

You are being being obtuse because you know the story of Rodriguez and Bong. It wasn't just boing.

Yes I concede I understand that but lets compare then the home crowds at wembley to that horrible spectacle in Bulgaria. Do you still then think English football supporters are just as much 'mass' racists?

I don’t think any Palace fan should be linked with those pieces of shit.

I don't think it does though. I've been to hundreds of games too and never heard racism. That's not saying that it doesn't happen, but it does show that our problem is miniscule and always very isolated incidents. But still must be addressed, as you say

No, let's not play that card. I said I had never heard any racism in the PL thankfully, not that it does not exist. My point being the PL does not witness scenes like we have seen tonight.

Didn’t say that at all! I’ve only heard one bit of racism (at withdean) and I think the bloke shocked himself he’d said it. (Was black *******) I didn’t see who did it could just tell from his voice the way it tailed off!

There’s a lot less racism in England than other countries like Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia etc - clearly.

Wrong!! Wilko’s statement applies to me too. Doesnt mean there aren’t isolated incidents in PL, but I’m very pleased to say I’ve never heard racism home or away in PL and for many years before that.

Very different from when I started watching in the 70s.

Typically when someone says "well, I've never seen [something] happen" there is an implication that they don't believe it ever happens. Happy to accept I read it wrong, but I don't think it's an unreasonable reading of the comment.

Still think English supporters are racist? When have I ever said I think they are?
