Why are you going out of your way to say you don’t trust them ? And don’t rely on them for news then ? Seems petty.

I agree...

Hmmm .............................. as a CM improvement on loan while the youngsters get up to speed, I'm in. Three, four, five year deal and a hefty (record breaking type) fee, and I've still got my doubts.
Good - looking like a loan deal then. Slight upgrade on what we've got attacking-wise, and we're not tied down to a long term contract if it does turn out that his best seasons are behind him - and excellent news if he can recreate his top form. Have we paid a loan fee? £3M or £4M would seem reasonable - something in it for 'Udders and a chunk off their wage bill.

This. Then Huds can have him back next summer to bolster their League One promotion challenge.
No, he's out of contract next summer, so a free agent.

He was woeful against us at the Amex.

Having said that, although I am not excited about him joining as he is way too slow, he is able to spray a pass and his shooting is good. He is an intelligent footballer.

Bissouma is injured so a loan deal can only be advantageous. It might get us 3 extra points.

Composure on the ball when playing up to scratch.

I'm not going out of my way. Naylor has posted that he's 'working on another big Brighton story'. He has form for trolling, as he did when Dean Hammond came back.

Someone else posted that it could be a bit of classic Naylor, tantalising us. I simply replied that I won't be suckered in by his 'big Brighton story' and that I'll just read NSC, as I believe any transfer news will be discussed on here before Naylor reports it.

You think it's petty that I comment on Naylor, and I think it's petty that every time I do, you rush to defend him.

I asked you which new summer signings Naylor revealed before they'd been discussed on NSC. Can you answer that?

Question remains, why ON EARTH would Huddersfield loan out their best player? If he’s on 50k p/w that means we’d be paying around 2m in wages to him and then his contract runs out at the end of the season.

A loan makes literally no sense from Huddersfield perspective.

If it's just a loan I bloody hope we aren't paying £3m plus wages. That's over £100k a week for him.

Unless we are paying a loan fee.

Perhaps Man City have a big sell on clause (50% or something) meaning that a loan fee and release will net them more money than selling him in the last year of his contract. Plus they’ll need to trim the wage bill in the Championship, he’d be their highest earner I’d have thought.

Unless we are paying a loan fee.

But it still makes no sense as he’s a free agent at the end of the season, I can’t work out why they’d loan him out, surely if they were going to get rid of him now they might as well cash in and sell him?

(Just seen post above, unless there is a massive sell on clause but even then I can’t see it)

I don't think any summer signings, that have happened, have been discussed on NSC this year before a reporter broke the story and normally Naylor or Owen stood it up.
And I just think he deserves some reasonable respect given his good faith (and other reporters) work in a sea of fakery, real trolls and clickbaiters, I just don't understand your beef with someone who's reported faithfully on the club for 31 years but clearly you're still irked by a single tweet about Dean Hammond 7 years ago. Its perplexing but guess i can't persuade you otherwise.

They're probably investigating the large hole where most people have a personality. Weird guy, especially for an Australian.

Had to watch some of his interviews on YouTube after reading that - fairly introverted, states the obvious, certainly not one to be generating headline sound bites that's for sure. Seems like a decent, if understated, chap.

That sounds a lot better than the earlier post... thank you for the research...

Did we really do that with the pic? I assumed it was a hoax / joke?

Image first appeared from some random fan who I assume photoshopped it. I think someone's then just copy and pasted it onto the news article. Not buying that's genuine.

Unless the loan fee is greater then the fee on a player with one year left and I’d imagine Man C have a sell on clause;
just realised I’ve repeated you! ???
