Even for some of us that live here, sometimes you go “WTF”.
Interested to know if you have ever been here? As in all countries around the world, there is good, bad and dumb arse! The USA and UK has those all over.

It could be possible for this to actually make sense:
If the mother was threatening the shooter enough that it was reasonable for the shooter to fear for their life, and the shooter acted in self defence, then it would actually make sense that the death of the baby was caused by the aggressor (which in this scenario, would be the mother).
However, I imagine that's nothing like what actually happened.

Been twice to Florida. Oh don’t get me wrong. America is great to visit. But their laws in certain states is scary.

Possibly. But why did a grand jury not indict the shooter in the first place? Was their evidence that she had to defend herself?

i think there may be an unintended outcome here, if the courts are forced answer the question when does the fetus become an individual person, protected by law.

Ok thats good. And you are correct the "Lawa" is both scary and stupid. And when you get away from the main line places and go to the more remote spots it can get a bit like the movie "Deliverance" I note from the old lady video that a she was Syrian and had very little English skills and that it happened in Clarksville, which is in North Georgia ...moonshine country.
I note from Wiki it has population of only 1800 so not much happens there! And a lady mayor who replaced the previous one who died of a "self inflicted gun shot wound". He was probably looking down the barrel when he asked himself "what does this trigger thing do?"

Yes, I saw that one a few days ago. The father has already put his feet apart but the cop kicks his leg. The mother says she cannot put her hands up because she is carrying a baby. The cops are completely out of control.
Jeez, that's like watching one of those surreal spoof news comedy shows like Brass Eye. All the time you're watching it you're thinking I'm not naive enough to be taken in by this, but then the dawning and worrying reality hits you that what you are watching is actually real and is also actually happening in a supposedly civilised country.
What a completely ****ed up country.

they would fail, once it goes high enough in the appeal process, once grown ups get involved. expect it goes exactly the other way and void the pro-life arguments.
It can keep going right to The Supreme Court, which has had it's last 2 appointees put in place by Trumpy-poohs.
