One issue for Leavers is that there are some who insist we leave with a deal and wouldn't want to leave without one and others who demand we leave without a deal and believe a softer Brexit does not represent 'leaving' at all, and then there's all shades of opinion between these two extremes.... No blame attached to their ignorance (no options were on the ballot paper) but it clearly isn't a simple binary choice. There may be many who simply wish to leave and are not bothered whether it is 'hard' or 'soft' but there is no evidence to suggest they are in the majority....

Not just a Tory thing, boring Chris (later convicted) Hulne fought a battle to be LibDems leader.

But in comparison to the clowns jockeying for the top job now now and based on his 4 years service as FCO Secretary since 1997-2001, he still looks a complete international statesman compared to today's average Tory.

No Deal Brexit wasn’t an option, as confirmed by the Leave campaign before the vote. You didn’t vote for No Deal as it wasn’t an option.

Hague was fairly outspoken critic of the EU, probably just for political gain though, as he voted to remain. For me that's been a part of the issue that has led us here, domestic Politicians waving a fist at the EU far too often, just for appearances to domestic audiences.
