After the utterly shithouse season they had in the PL last year I thought they were doing really well to be in with a shout of promotion. Moore seems to have done a great job.
Plus after Steve Gibson spending £50m at Boro and predicting they would "storm the division" (that went well) you'd have thought that people in charge of relegated PL teams would realise that it's actually REALLY hard to go straight back up nowadays.
As others have said, they're probably in the shit FFP wise unless they get promoted so it's a panic thing. I'd wager that they're ****ed now anyway.

In the current climate, with chairmen and owners seemingly demanding overnight success, is it really that much of a shock? I don't think so. Yes our Brummie namesakes are 4th in the Championship, but many would say, with being a Premier League team only a year ago, and with the talent at their disposal, they should be looking to bounce back in the top two, not struggling to make the play offs.
Reckon they must have Jokanovic or Wagner lined up.

I'd be surprised to see Wagner return to management in this country any time soon, The experience he went through at Huddersfield this season, seems to have taken it's toll on him.
DM has given WBA a far better chance of an immediate return than Stoke (owned by local billionaires) and Boro the season before who immediately spent £66m on players “to smash the Championship”. Incredibly hard to bounce straight back up and DM put them in a good position.
