Not really. You're getting the FA-sanctioned number of seats. We're not.

Just noticed that on the EFL highlights. Ridiculous that Norwich get both tiers but we don't. Why?

Norwich Had the upper and the lower yesterday. Whoops just seen the previous post my mate was at the game and said once he got of the train it was easy to get safely into the ground.

There is no excuse for giving Norwich both tiers and not us for a much bigger match. Suggests something very dodgy has happened in the decision making from this so called safety advisory group.
The main suspicions are going to be a) Millwall are blatantly trying to improve their chances by reducing the atmosphere generated by the away fans or b) they are so worried about their own fans trying to attack ours and getting more sanctions that we are paying the price for their own problems.
Brighton should have lobbied much harder.

We’re not normal away supporters though are we , some of our mob would just love to get in that lower tier and start something, 200-300 nutters all opening a bag of werthers at the same time and then blatantly taking their chompers out to make the sucking louder will cause chaos , i’m with the fuzz on this one .

And the Norwich game is a league game. Surely Millwall are supposed to give a larger proportion of the capacity in Cup games. It doesn't add up at all.

The SAG (Safety Advisory Group) deemed Norwich a CAT A game, no problem regarding spontaneous disorder, The Brighton match is a CAT B increased chance of disorder.

Albion did request extra tickets.
The Police and safety forum have advised Millwall to deny. End of. Whether that's an over reaction or not is unknown.
Norwich City took more. But the home crowd was far from sold out yesterday. There are obviously concerns.

The police are well represented at SAG meetings. They will certainly have had major influence over this (ridiculous) descion to deny us our proper allocation.
This matter has not helped by Barber’s strange crusade in the media to highlight some unpleasant, but rare, behaviour from out lot at home recently. I expect the SAG responsible for this match has noted this.

Brighton & Hove Albion has clarified why the club has received a reduced allocation for the FA Cup quarter-final tie against Millwall at the New Den.
We originally requested the full 15% away allocation for the match — as we knew this would be an extremely popular match for our supporters. This was not granted in our initial allocation. At this point we requested more tickets for our supporters and were granted an additional 100 tickets.
Our allocation was approximately 250 tickets short of the 15% ticket entitlement for the FA Cup, when that percentage is applied to open and available areas of the stadium. We consulted The Football Association and requested the full away allocation. The FA advised they would be guided by Millwall’s Safety Advisory Group, including representatives of the Metropolitan Police.
Fans should note that different league and one-off cup games are often treated differently in terms of risk, particularly at the latter stages of the competition — and also that our allocation is larger than the number of tickets given to Everton in the previous round. We also appreciate Millwall’s assistance in working with us to ensure as many Albion supporters can attend the game, in line with the Safety Advisory Group’s guidance.
Our game at Millwall will be televised live (as was Everton’s game at The New Den), giving all fans the chance to see the match.
Ultimately, we must respect the decision of the safety authorities — and the club will not be commenting further on this situation.

So you take a guess, with no evidence - but decide to post your assertion anyway.
That's a poor decision then on behalf of the FA who should be pushing for the club to have its rightful allocation. Effectively, they are rewarding bad behaviour by handing Millwall a greater home advantage because disorder is considered likely. Perhaps they should calculate how far short of the correct allocation Albion are, and reduce the number of home tickets available by the same percentage..
