Hate to admit it, and will probably get a load of grief for it - but we arent this year...but its purely for financial reasons, not because of recent results. Been there since the start in 2011, but with our eldest son hopefully heading off to Military College in Loughborough this summer, we will need to save all the money we can to get him through the next few years. With our youngest in the County cricket setup as well now (which is costing us a pretty packet every year) something had to give.
Weve had a brilliant time at the Amex, and will really miss all the friends weve made that sit around us, but unfortunately its time to go back to listening on the radio each week...

Reckon I would be dissapointed for a day or two if we went down. Wouldn't take long before I would start looking forward to next season in the Championship though.

More football. Less tourists, day trippers and dribblers. The ability to get 15 mates on a minibus to an away game knowing you can all get a ticket if you want one. Easier to get a beer at The Amex.

In fact I re-reading the above I won't be dissapointed at all. Roll on relegation.

If it gets rid of a few of the moaning ***** then it’s only a good thing.

Going on last night’s match thread that’s most of our support!

Absolutely unbelievable mass negativity before a ball was kicked

Good post.

Would also love to see the back of the (spectating) dribblers. The screaming over the arrival of Arsenal, in seeing Thierry in the Sky Box, adult autograph hunters shouting Jamie for Vardy’s autograph, Hazard’s top, drooling over Willian, getting the vaseline out over the new White Hart Lane. No way true Albion fans.

I was a season ticket holder at the Goldstone, Priestfield, Withdean and am now one at the Amex. I'm almost certainly going to cancel mine as I just can't afford it any more. I'm self-employed and work's getting harder to come by, so football's become a luxury.

It's nothing to do with form, I'd be doing it if we were in the top four.

Quite understand ..... prehaps I should have said 'Why would anyone cancel because we're at risk of relegation'.

I wonder how many are now dithering over the "Cancel Direct Debit" button after last night's result and how many more will be pushing it IF we lose on Saturday ( God forbid !!)

The colour of my blood is blue. I have supported the Seagulls since1949 and will always do so. Have never ever supported another club, and never will. So here is one that will always renew come rain or shine.

For all the clever ones on here, I know that we have not always been called the Seagulls.

One of the good things to come out of the 14/15 season was that it shook the tree a bit as far as season ticket holders were concerned: something like 3000 didn't renew on the basis of one poor season. According to Barber on on interview he did on the Albion Roar, these were the same fans that moaned when the loyalty points system was changed to account for having held season tickets for consecutive seasons.

Dissapointing as our recent run of form has been, at least it'll shake out a few more glory hunters and allow some of the thousands on the waiting list a chance to suport thier team every week.

Well remembered, very accurate. 3,500 gave them up over two seasons, probably all newcomers who’d assumed nonstop winning football and a quick promotion.

Are you saying those people who expected a defeat last night were incorrect?

I saw the very end of The Dolphins era.

Nah, I shan't be renewing. Can't take all the failure associated with the outside possibility the club might be relegated from the top tier. I'll still want to see live football though, so will look for a club somewhere close to my partner's place in South London.

FFS.

No I’m suggesting that they had given up before we kicked off and were slagging the team selection off as being negative and suggesting, for the most part, we’d get a thumping because of it. I have never seen such negativity before a game.

I didn’t expect us to win either but the sense of entitlement is staggering to me

Has anyone put a cost on 'Gloryhunting'
I had a season ticket in the South Stand (wooden benches) back in the 70's
Had I been a gloryhunter and renewed every season I would have seen Brighton in the top flight in the 80's, an FA Cup final (twice), lots of top teams and years and years of nothing.
Yep, I'm still in.

Wasn’t it because fans were gutted that the losing team was being kept in tact, with much loved Bissouma and Bernardo out, thus hindering our chances?

Already renewed, paid for before last night.

As much as the last couple of months have been pretty bad, The first half of this season was great. If we get relegated I get an extra 4 games of football for my money, if we don't I'll enjoy all 19 games next season.

That said the bottle top fiasco really gets on my tits but I'll put up with it and the saving of not buying a bottle of pop pre match any more covers the price rise.

Yup it was fans knowing better than the manager and going off on one about how we were guaranteed a, probably heavy, defeat because of it

We did not roll over and we were the better team for most of the match, if Murray hadn’t panicked ( the pressure seems to have got to him unfortunately) we’d probably have got at least a point.

I’ve still got 9 restaurants on the Brighton top 20 to visit. I’ll not stop my trips to the seaside just yet.
