yes and have worked on project related to supply chain. as i say the real issue is whether or not the supply can get through the ports. sourcing from else where would be to provide alternative point of entry.

I don't disagree with your overall point but it's interesting you highlight horse meat. There's actually nothing wrong with horse meat, it's actually quite nice and available in many supermarkets in France. There are two problems with horse meat in the UK. One being the scandel about it being in meals but not listed on the ingrediements, and the other stems from that problem in that the UK in general find the idea of horse meat repugnant. Generally there's nothing wrong with it. Even pet food is fit for human consumption.

And no, neither taste like chicken.

Well in all honesty we have considered massively reducing our meat intake as a family - a no deal Brexit probably would make that happen!

im sure i've mentioned being in the industry before. i expect there would be some disruption, question is would it be enough to materially impact existing or already expanded inventory.

Slightly off topic, but the fact that horsemeat has turned up in Steak and Kidney pies in Britain is not so much a matter of taste, but if that meat cannot be traced back to where the horse was raised. If it was not raised for consumption, it could have had drugs not authorised for food animals. As it was passed off as Beef, I would say it would be pretty hard to trace it back to it's life as a horse.

Seriously, I agree with you. CAP favours the large landowners, sorry farmers, and intensive farming. I've seen many people suggest leaving the EU will lower environmental standards in the UK - well CAP is in direct conflict with supposesed EU environmental policies.

I agree with you here. This piece of news is neither here not there in truth, and putting out these silly stories deflects from the real issues surrounding Brexit.
