Solly was rubbish first half, excellent the second half. Does everyone have dementia?

I beg to differ. Over the past few months Solly has got better and better with far more influence on the game. There are some areas where he can improve, eg. crossing but overall his game is developing and he has the potential to become a top player for us

In a funny way, today summed up my concerns about him. I thought he played very well and didn’t let us down at all. He was very good defensively and, shocking set pieces aside, careful in possession. However, even on what I admit was a good day for him, how many times did he beat his man? How many times did he put a good cross in? How many shots did he have? How many times did he contribute to a dangerous attacking move? This is where I think he’s lacking. He can play well, he can play badly, but has he actually got what it takes to affect matches at this level?

He's our top assister so I'd imagine he does. He's created more chances per game than everyone bar Gross this season, so I'd imagine he does.

The thing about our wingers is that they get through so much defensive work and, bar the last two games, are often gaining possession in the full back areas as they're so deep. There are so few players in any league anywhere that have the strengths to their game to be offensively proficient when this is a large part of their role, let alone in the Premier League. Yet, despite many of our attacks focusing down the left hand side yesterday, we were still very solid down the right and March was absolutely crucial to that, particularly in nullifying Digne who was so good at Goodison Park. In fact, he was second in both tackles, clearances and interceptions yesterday. Second. He's not going to get an assist every game at this level, but yesterday showed just how useful he is at this level; even when he's not creating goals, he's ensuring that his side is well looked after. I get that March isn't perfect, but he gets such an unnecessary amount of flak on here relative to every other player we have which is absolutely surreal considering he's arguably been one of our best and most consistent performers this year despite constantly being moved into different positions. There's a reason that CH keeps picking him.

Why concentrate on what an Albion player doesn't/can't do?

Esp on the back of a fantastic team performance, where everybody played their part

Very much this..

The boy is class and if people can't see what he brings to the table then football is not for them.

He is playing to Hughton's Instructions.

Solly had Zaha in his pocket with a man of the match performance when Palace came to the Amex this season.
That is good enough for me.

He is now an integral part of the best squad we have ever had.

Look at the opposite comparison.
Who had the better match yesterday Solly or Walcott?
Solly kept the very dangerous and talented Digne out of the game.
Theo did nothing all match and allowed Bernardo had a superb attacking match.
Sometimes its not only about crosses and shots on goal, its about keeping the opposition on the defensive and being part of a game plan.
For me, Solly did that yesterday.

Another great game from Solly. Only thing he is lacking is some composure in front of goal, like the lob he tried against Arsenal.

Two wide players yesterday, one I thought had a stinker and the other put in a very ill disciplined performance, which is unlikely to have done anything, to hasten his return to premier league action. As always after a disappointing performance those who didn't play, find their reputation somehow enhanced by the failings of others.

March has been very poor as an attacking player and have been calling for Knockhaert. However after yesterdays performance March place is still secure

Solly appears to have far superior end product. I bet he wouldn't have continually left Bruno exposed as AK did yesterday.

its not fair to say March is very poor attacking player, just he's not as good as Knockhaert... when the later is in form. in the credit column is better defense and well all round more reliable. hopefully he can yet be coached into making more agressive runs past opposition and improve crossing.
