I agree, the rest of the world is an ever more important market, I believe we would get better deals though, as part of the EU as trade deals tend to favour the larger partner.

But if we care to accept the leaked paper, isnt the world trade deals analysis based on a net gain outside of the EU rather than just figure outside of the EU that is less than if we stayed in, therefore it absolutely does not favour the larger partner, the decreased trade between the UK and the EU might but not the projected global trade figures ?

What defines it as a British? Fully owned by Britain investors?, 100% manufactured in Britain? 100% assembled in Britain using British sourced goods and 100% British workforce?. Im sure if you look at anything manufactured in a large scale( or even small scale) around the globe, components or ingredients will be sourced from far and wide with the company backed by investors from many countries.
I do find it odd some of you, in an ever increasing global market, wish to diminish the efforts of the British workforce, labourers, technicians, designers who are proud in packaging together a product “Made in Britain” with the slight “ yeah but its not really British is it guys”.
Very much part of a theme of those who over many years have sought to generally run the country down at any given opportunity.

Lighten up. You're misinterpreting the tone and content of a conversation between two other people.

Sorry mate, I can't quite get what you are saying. I was stating, that in Trade deals between 2 parties, generally there is a greater benefit to the larger party.
In a trade deal between the USA and us, they would be the larger party and most likely get the greater benefit, in a trade deal between USA and the EU, the EU is the larger party and so it would be more likely that the EU gets the greater benefit. A member state of the EU is likely to have better trading terms with the USA than we will, if and when we both have trade deals with the USA.

Back in the 70s and 80s most footbaĺl flags were union ones. I remember having a picture taken outside the Bell. It wasn't racist back then. I things changed when the St George's Cross became more prominent

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it racist to wave the flag, it pisses me off that racists do though and try and claim it is theirs more than mine.

Having pride in the Kingdoms flag as well as the Cross of St George (if your English) is to be celebrated whether some of the 'wavers' are racists or not. If they don't represent you it doesn't mean you should ditch the flag/s. Be Proud not timid or ashamed.

Lighten up, conversations on here are not reserved between parties.
You wanted a home grown 5 door car recommendation , buy a Toyota Auris Hybrid. It’s a great vehicle. Got Made in Britain stamped all over it,

I saw a comment from New York that Brexit is known in America as "Britain's humiliation". .

Wouldn’t bother paying too much attention to that,
For what its worth I have had dozens upon dozens upon dozens of yanks ask me about the whole brexit thing, every single one bar one thought we were doing an amazing thing and it was brilliant, I admit there might be some bias though as a good number of them are from a military background and very understanding of patriotism

I try not to get angry but it does make me peeved to hear people claiming to be the great patriots whilst they help to drag this dear old country towards the mire, cheering as she goes, wetting themselves with joy as Britain turns in on itself.

We finally agree on something.
It peeves me as well, im fed up with people claiming to be patriots but wishing the country goes to the swamp so they can say “told you”, or considers trade deals outside the EU a joke and wetting themselves with joy at every single bit of negative forecast whilst deliberately sowing the seed of division hoping it results in an outcome that ignores the democratic referendum result.

Bloody Worthing!
This is hardly big news in he context of the unfolding procedural (as well as substantive) shambles that is Brexit, but Steve Baker pretty much insulted his civil servants as well as Parliament in the cavalier way he treated this matter.
I have to rebalance pastafarian's comments: being critical of Brexit does not imply that you want to see the country 'go to the swamp'. We have children and grandchildren who will live with the consequences fof what many of us see to be a disastrous decision: it genuinely hurts. Part of being a citizen and patriot in a democratic country is to articulate 'minority' (if it still is) opinion on public policy.

Do you remember the 22nd SS panzer division massacares at Oradour-sur-Glane and Tulle? They were known as Das Reich, who was it that used to also go by that name?

Red Herring Alert(not aimed at you baldy at all, just an excuse to link and just an observation)
I would suggest everyone if they have a chance visit Oradour. My mum dragged me there when I was a young lad,(I wasn’t interested). It shocked me to the core, but that is what the remains are intended to do, they are a reminder.
It was probably the moment that triggered my interest of actually learning history and not just reading Battle Weekly, especially in the rise of National Socialism and how people could be so hoodwinked.
It does bother me today as it should everyone that in todays political discourse where everyone is entrenched and at each others throats people readily describe opponents as far right fascists or Nazis for disagreeing with their view like its normal.(a couple of idiots have gone down the far right view on here but thankfully they are idiots)
Perhaps people should be reminded of Oradour more frequently and reminded what real Nazism is, and not to belittle it by trusting in twitter Nazism and far right accusations
Just a thought

Very strained relationship between the paranoid Brexiteers in Government and the civil service now.

Brexit Minister has failed to challenge "half-baked" civil service myths - FDA Union

Responding to the latest comments in the House of Commons by Brexit minister Steve Baker, FDA General Secretary Dave Penman said:

"To stand at the despatch box and refuse to challenge a half-baked conspiracy theory about the civil service – one that is even now being disowned by its supposed source – is the height of irresponsibility from a serving minister.

"It is not good enough for Mr Baker to simply shrug his shoulders and allow unfounded accusations about officials to go unchallenged.

"Every day civil servants put their personal views aside and work tirelessly to implement the decisions of ministers – and they do so with a professionalism that puts the likes of Mr Baker to shame.

"These cowardly actions are beneath the office he holds, and Mr Baker risks seriously undermining the government he is a part of."

Its clear from yesterdays exchange a few of the remainers are unable to see the differences between being a member of the EU and not being in the EU on the date of leaving (29th march 2019) and cant distinguish between various statuses and arrangements that will need to be negotiated as part of the withdrawal during the implementation as it runs its course to expiration (currently 31 dec 2020).
Thinking we have extended our membership when we have left membership is comical, some people should keep track of the legislation going through the motions

That will be the negotiations that the EU have just opened with full payment, no influence, full adherence to all EU rules and regulations, Take it or Leave it, then ?

Or maybe we can get some sort of bespoke deal as the EU definitely haven't ruled that out ???

The day we lose all influence and voting rights but continue to be a full paying member of the EU for another 2 years.

Strange day to celebrate, but each to their own

Members get influence and voting rights, we wont be having those because we wont be members due to us leaving on march 29 2019. Its not incredibly hard to understand this. We will be in an implementation period as non members, surprised this hasnt sunk in yet
