I know a fan who went to all the Preistfield games, all the Withdean games and now can't get a ticket for the Amex now we're in the Prem, and yet I also know a Liverpool fan who had a season ticket whilst we were under Oscar Garcia, who stopped watching us because it was boring for him, but yet, at the end of last season got himself back a season ticket with us and is now watching the Albion living the dream.

Why didn't the club keep a record of the fans who were watching us at the Withdean and keeping this club alive? Why are all loyalty points only revolving around the Amex's history when it was the Withdean days which helped us get there plus the tickets weren't cheap considering we had to sometimes sit in the rain watching crap football?

A big shame really and goes to show that loyalty means nothing.

Why can't he get a ticket for the Amex ? Most of the games are selling out very near to the actual match date. If he's a registered member should be able to get tickets for several games. If you've got a ST you could also get him one under the '+1' scheme when that works (Everton for example I think ?). Stoke probably won't even sell out.

Doesn't make sense.

I fully accept that it was inevitable but in some respects it is sad that the club has lost its personal touch.

Has it though? Paul Barber still answers fans emails or correspondence personally. The ticket office is now dealing probably with 50,000 people as opposed to 8,000 pre-Amex, so yeah, probably going to lose a little, BUT, I've been in the shop picking up tickets and STILL the staff know a fair few of the regular supporters in there. Whenever I phone up, the staff are always very helpful, chatty etc. I don't expect them to know me though.

After the Man City game, I was stood with a mate with a pint outside the East Stand, and as Lewis Dunk left to go to his car, mobbed by kids, happy to sign and take selfies, a load of Man City fans walked passed in disbelief, shocked that Premier League players actually mix with the fans, to the extent one of them got a selfie with Dunk. It's pretty normal for us to see our players, owner and directors wandering around the stadium.

If you don't realise how, despite all the financial and media pressures, that this club is still very much a personal, community one, then it is you that has lost, not the club.

Season tickets were not available anywhere near the end of last season.

I know fans who joined the already long queue in February.

A child at 5 gets easily board anyway and evening games are out of the question. My son and grandson have season tickets and if they want to take friends they move their seats through the ticket office to be with their friends. Tickets are available for many games. Looking out our ageing crowd he will shoot up the list. What an amazing problem for the club.

For all games at the moment, tickets are available on sale including the family stand, so there is no reason Jack's Dad cannot let someone else enter on his season ticket and buy match tickets for himself and Jack in the Family Stand.

Correct. And the shelf is opened up nearly every game now which is a) one of the best views in the house, b) right above our loudest fans and c) family only.

When mine are old enough I will be placing them on the ST list and in the meantime taking them to the odd game up there.

Perhaps the club could actively move the families out of the Family stand when the youngest is too old, then offer those seats to the next family on the waiting list, that would be fair for everybody...

How does the family stand actually work at present? When junior gets too old to be classified as a junior, are both they and their accompanying adult forced to vacate their places in the family stand? If so, do the club offer relocation to elsewhere in the ground or do they just get bumped on to the waiting list? Going to be a progressively tricky one for the club to manage I'd have thought, with more and more juniors reaching non-junior age.

You get moved. They've enough seats around the ground to cope with this.

For each under 18 year old 2 adults can join them in the family stand. As long they are under 18 at the start of the season they can have their season ticket there. At the end of the last season of being under 18 they (child and associated adult tickets) are put on the seat transfer list and are transferred elsewhere in the ground. At most it is a couple of 100 seats to move each season so just gets accommodated with the usual end of season seat transfers that take place every year.

You really don’t read other people’s replies. You started the thread about bypassing the system and it was you who suggested that children of STH should be at the front of the queue. Here is a thought why don’t you give up your ST for the younger generation.

That is just the point I do read other peoples views as I originally suggested existing STH should be given priority when applying for an additional child seat but Creaky suggested two waiting lists 1 for general and 1 for Family stand and I agreed. However it now seems that the 1 waiting covers both as they offer the family seat to the next family on the list so the problem is solved. Now I/ we know the situation

My extended family have more ST than BG anyway, so when my oldest has finished at Uni and wants back his ticket that we gave up last season, we'll pull rank and nip ahead of Jack in the queue

Any one got a spare child I can borrow, some Saturday afternoons, Sundays, I'll probably be ok for Friday evenings. Mines to old to enable me to move up the waiting list now.
