as it is a quiet night I queried my VM bill.

I currently pay for 200mb of Broadband. Is that about right or excessive.

I live alone and have one bog standard PC.

Any thoughts gratefully received.

You don't even need half that unless you download large files and stream stuff at the same time.

100mb bandwidth will suffice for most small to medium sized offices.

you probably wouldnt notice if you went as low as ADSL speeds of 4-6mb, unless downloading large files. certainly wouldnt bother paying for more than the base end fibre speeds, 17-30mb.

In my house we have around 13mbps. That comfortably runs a smart TV, Xbox one, kodi box and around five phones/tablets at the same time.

Is that a) speed of download or b) download data quota?
If a) that's ridiculously high - I have BT Infinity 2 [fast fibre] and only get 60-ish MBpS
If b) probably not enough if you want to get the most out of BB

We have VM 200mbs service, but have around 20 devices connected at one time, including a 4k TV streaming netflix.

100Mbs would be more than adequate, but the saving isn't massive and the switch is a new 12 month contract commitment. Switching to BT fibre wasn't compelling either for me.
