Why are we not allowed to go after him. We have just loaned out a promising RB who would have played the full 90 today and replaced him with someone worse.

That lad is not worse than Rob Hunt............In fact I would be prepared to bet my left testicle that the kid you are slating will be plying at a lot higher than Rob Hunt will be in 10 years.

He may have had a bad game but so what. Lads that age are never consistent and most of the players he played with today he has probably trained with no more than twice.

He was brought into the club for a reason. None of us on here know what that reason is - so to slaughter him for a less than wonderful debut is not going to help him improve is it?

I presume that's what we all want ? For him to get better, is it not?

He is very highly thought of young player and maybe just maybe he has been brought in on loan so that we can get a look at him at closer quarters in training and to see what his attitude is like with a view to purchase, rather than purchasing blind or ''at arms length'' After all, our current 1st choice right back is 37 next year and 2nd choice is 32 next year.

How must Hunt feel??, Loaned out and we bring in a youngster - Hunt will be off in the summer surely?

I imagine he's relatively pleased we're happy to pay for a youngster who is going to get next to zero football so he can go out on loan and continue his devolpment?

Didnt CH make the point that he was brought in as cover so that Hunt could go out on loan to get game time which he wouldnt get much of here at the moment.

I don't know - Did he ? We have all seen Hunt we know that he is capable of and the Manager knows what he needs for Hunt

That lad is a very highly rated player, that's all I know . I have never actually seen him play but in the Academy Echelons he is very highly regarded.

Our own current right backs are not going to be around playing for many more years.

You are being very reasonable with some very unreasonable posters tonight. Things will calm down soon.

What a typical NSC get the knives out thread, we lost so lets find a scapegoat.

To start with, this young 19 year old lad has been at Chelsea fot 11 years, before going on to play for England U 19s and won the FA youth cup at Chelsea.

He is used to playing on a snooker table at Chelsea, but today made his debut at a non league ground which Warren Aspinall described as a bumpy cow field, with players he has never trained with, let alone played with.
He has had to make his debut at a non league ground where BBC and SKY have loads of cameras, and he makes a cock up.
According to the radio, he was superb in the 1st half, but Lincoln got the penalty, the crowd were buzzing and Lincoln were in accendancy,he panics, makes an error and he is absolutely crucified on here.
That will probably be the only game he plays, we are out of the cup now and Liam will be cover for Bruno. Hunt meanwhile will play 15 odd games of League football and make him a lot better player.
Some of the comments on here are unbelievable.

That. All of it.

I suppose with success comes expectations of greatness. I just don't like to see a 20 year old lad get that sort of abuse. It simply isn't helpful.

I think I will go out and get drunk. I am very disappointed with the losing but I am actually glad not to be in the cup any more. It's just a distraction and potentially costly distraction.

I agree completely. There are some who are just venting their spleen (probably having already had a skinful) and won't feel the same after 24 hours.

Well, I was there and think some of the comments on this thread are wildly over dramatic. He is a youngster who was making his debut and aside from the OG he looked a decent signing. The problem today wasn't any one player. Rather it looked like someone should have introduced the entire defense to each other pre match.
It may also have helped to tell the entire team not to hoof the ball in the air at every opportunity until the final ten minutes.

Also thought overall he looked a good signing. The worst performance from our back four was Hünemeier imo. The one moment that stood out was our two centrebacks going wide to recieve a ball from the keeper and he lumps it forward straight to a Lincoln player who heads straight for the gaping hole in the middle of our defence.

Play him in a game in the Championship and there will only be one result. So what was the point of signing him?

Seem to remember Denis Bergkamp (not Roland) had a pretty poor whole first season at Arsenal. The gurus of NSC would probably have hounded him out before he had a chance to prove himself.

I'm sure there were the odd dissenters from that view - total unanimity is very, very rare - but if you think I was the only one (or even one of a small minority), you are well and truly deluded!

You're right. We have many odd dissenters.
