I hate it to say it, well actually I don't, but certainly on my facebook the worse offenders are middle aged women. Get a ****ing life.
I suspect you're probably right, as my timeline is full of them. Well, it used to be. I make a point of unfollowing anybody who posts such shit, so I only see their posts if I choose to.
Also irritating are the ones which read something like:
British Airway.
To celebrate our 50th aniversary, were giving away 1000 first class flight tickets to anywhere in the world free. To be in with a chance of winning one of these amazing prizes simply Like and share this post and comment with your choice of denstination. Good luck!
Which is then followed by thousands upon thousands of gullible fools Liking the post and typing comments like "Amazing! Sydney please!!!! xx"
Because British Airway (the clue is in the name, you idiots) are always chucking out free first class tickets to thousands of people, aren't they? Especially via badly spelled Facebook posts which get the company name wrong
Same applies to Virgin Atlantic, BMW, Ferrari, assorted luxury camper van manufacturers, Veuve Clicquot or any number of high end companies that seem to have regularly appeared on my timeline in recent years. Grrrrr.
