The Astral Planes, man...
Apparently the rumour in Newcastle is that they will come back Tuesday with a £15m bid. Would we accept it, I hope not from our promotion prospects but could understand the money side.

"We've lost Knockaert, Anthony Knockaert,
I just don't think you understand,
Without him in our team,
We'll never live the dream,
We've lost Anthony Knockaert"

..or hopefully not...

Knockhart is absolutely carrying the team at the moment. It's got to the stage that if he isn't involved in a move, we won't score. There's no way Sidwell, Skalek, Bong, Baldock could score a goal from open play together. There is no way they are top 6 championship players sadly.
Knockart covers up a lot of mediocrity in the squad . Baldock, skalak, hemed....mediocre

Dunk was in the hotel bar the night before the Middlesborough game (last game of last season). Even though he wasn't playing (suspended), he was only drinking lemonade or coke. I think he's too professional to drink much alcohol....

He was necking lager between about 8 and 11 (along with most of the non playing staff) - was sat almost next to him.

On his way out? He seemed very in-thought at the final whistle, AND was the last player to leave the pitch at the end.

I believe the comment about necking lager related to the middlesboro game so apart from the north east location not sure how that relates to his leaving the pitch yesterday

Back to Knockheart - let us all pray that he stays. Fabulous skills and probably the only player that will get us promoted if he stays...(though Dunk might be the other for his defensive qualities)

Hope he stays.

On topic, even though I believe it to be total bulls as a rumour, if a bid is made early we just keep rejecting it thinking they will either come back higher at the deadline (win) or we keep him (win)......... if Newcastle bid late on final day we can't do that....... it's accept that amount or keep. Slight difference but just an idea for BG if not mentioned earlier in the thread.

Neither here nor there
I met a Brighton player yesterday quite unexpectedly - probably unfair to name him as he was very generous with his time and was very candid and unguarded in his answers to the handful of questions I threw at him.

He thinks it's highly unlikely that Knoackaert will leave this week and says that the club would turn down any bid for Dunk.

However he believes Stephens is our best player and is not so confident he's sticking around. Though he didn't seem to think it was inevitable he'd be going.

IF Knockhaert goes, what will we sing instead 20 times duing the next game?

Surely other players in our team deserve a popular song?

Correct.....nothing to do with the Newcastle game, I was only commenting that Dunk was definitely on the beers (Stella in fact) at Boro (no reason why he shouldn't have been either).

Can't see Knocky or him leaving, and wonder if the Stephens saga has dragged on a bit too long. Burnley seem to have taken other options. Wednesday is going to be frantic with loads of silly offers and panic buys........hate it.

Any particular reason why so many people struggle to spell his name? He's the best player in the squad, you'd think people could take a moment to spell his name right.

Anthony Knockaert.
