There has been a very small section of people (4.5%) who have never accepted his election since day one he got elected and have constantly tried to undermine him.

I was a Liz Kendall supporter btw but I got behind him because he was the democratically elected leader by a thumping margin. I also believe in progressive politics to fight the inequality and injustice of marginalised minorities. Equal pay for women and people with disabilities, particularly with autism. Millennials are also the first generation to have less money than their parents. Many of us will never be able to own a home

Corbyn is not like other politicians. He says what he thinks and not regurgitate rehearsed soundbites. He has fought for us his entire political life

thats absolutely true. it doesn't mean he is electable by forming a coherent and broadly supportable set of deliverable policies. he has lost the support of his own parliamentary party as apparently he is unable to compromise on ideals to arrive at a workable consensus. he has lost many supporters over the year, now ending up with a half staffed "opposition".

Equal pay for women and people with disabilities, particularly with autism.

There we go again! Why particularly people with autism? Why not just all disabled people? How about only lesbian women getting equal pay? Equal means everybody, not just your pet project right now.

How Labour lets itself down once more, if you have nothing intelligent to say, try saying nothing instead.

and it never ceases to amuse and bewilder me when socialist complain about not being able to be capitalists.

FFS. Why does this get merged. They're two completely different events. No wonder why people know nothing about the truth when it gets compromised all the time

Valid point. It's extremely frustrating when different topics are merged into one generic thread, we may as well have a thread called 'The Albion' for all BHA stories. I guess the mods think that most people who post on NSC are too stupid to realise that these things are important and will complain if all the transfer rumour and new kit threads get diluted with political debate. A shame as it's not as if there's any real football to discuss at the moment.

Because only 15% of people with autism are in full time employment and I was just diagnosed myself two weeks ago. It makes me laugh how middle aged men resent people powered movements; black rights, women rights, disabled rights, gay rights. We're not taking your opportunities away from you, we just want the same opportunities as you.

How do you know who is middle aged and who are men? You vote how you want and leave others to make up their minds.

Ladies and gentleman, this is how you know when somebody is losing an argument, they resort to personal attacks because they have not one argument left to counter your point. Seriously I will be the first person to admit I was a dick when I was young on here, but this is not how you get people to listen to you.

All very laudible, great, but again I ask, why autistic people in particular, is not everybody entitled to equality?

Of course, but people with mental disabilities have been left behind a lot further. I am calling for parity between mental and physical disability.

because NSC is not a political forum... and this thread is the place for discussion relating to the shambles that is Corbyn and the Labour party, and clearly this 'event' is part of that.

Off to see Corbyn at the Hilton tonight!

This talk of Corbyn being unelectable is pointless. If Corbyn is unelectable than so is Smith by some magnitude in addition. Whilst Corbyn has 10,000 coming out in the rain to support him Smith has 50 people coming out in the summer sunshine (whilst basically campaigning on policies stolen from Corbyn).

Of course, the PLP don't want Smith in charge anyway they just think he has the best chance with the current membership (hardly any chance) in the hope he can win before they can get Umunna or a Kendall in to replace him and drag labour back to the right. It is a joke to believe that Smith actually believes in the policies he's getting behind, he has no integrity.

Corbyn isn't ideal he has a lot of failings but there aren't any alternatives at the moment. The issue being that the left of the party was gutted under Blair leaving a bunch of political light weights whose only policy position is slightly left of the Conservatives. He needs to stay until someone like Clive Lewis is ready to stand up.
