Oh dear, well you and Greg retire to your safe space away from the oddly sad and rather limited people.

Corrected for you; you ascribed you and your cohorts far too much potency.

Even mentioning an awful murder of an MP who happened to be a Europhile is now an 'agenda' or a 'narrative'.
Ridiculous.

I am no legal or tech expert. But if you could make Twitter, Facebook etc jointly responsible (with the poster) for the stupid and sometimes criminal stuff that gets posted, it would stop pretty quickly.

They provide an environment for users to say what they like with impunity and often anonymity. They therefore facilitate some of this hate and abuse.

So do you think Bozza should be responsible for the stuff posted on Nsc?

Don't know the answer to this TBF. Given that the Mods are tough on inappropriate comments, that users can report posts, I think (without knowing the law) that any reasonable person would conclude that NSC does all it can to keep itself clean.

I understand the freedom of expression argument but some of the bile on social media is unbelievable. Do you not think Twitter, FB etc could do more?

Twitter in particular is the worst. People squeeze in as much nastyness as they can in that char limit, all that does is create more replies and more nastyness in return, it is a never ending circle. It gets pretty depressing in the end.

If you put yourself in the spotlight not everyone is going to agree. I like looking at Farages feed, I like to see what he is doing on the campaign trail. Some of the replies he gets are disgusting. People don't seem to engage their brain before posting and that is the case on both sides. I don't think they actually realise that what they post could land them in serious trouble.

I'm with you, I think there needs to be a line.

Theres a difference between Free Speech and Hate speech. Personally, I think people should be prosecuted for, at least death threats, no matter what their politics are.

Doesn't that just sum up what we all truly want and believe could be possible.

God help us with these parochial, narrow-minded egotistical politicians and their narcissistic agendas.

It's so sad we live in a world where we know what the right thing is to do. But simply seem unable to actually do it as a government and as a nation.

So easy - but the simplicity of the solution may well be what convinces some that it's unachievable.

So often in life the most simple and obvious road leads to salvation and peace.

Perhaps I'm just naive and stupid to think that.

Agreed but it's not just politicians that are narrow-minded egotistical with narcissistic agendas. :(

So that's you and the bloke who wonders what other people's farts smell like in one corner and me and a few others in another.

Fair enough.

That thread escaped me!

If we're choosing corners though, on balance, I'll hold me nose and tough it out.

State of him.

Says he made the comments when tired and emotional. Which probably translates as "I'd snorted too much bag off that hookers arse, the brandy didn't help either"
