There are a couple of minor flaws in that argument. Not sure if you have noticed but we are not exactly flush with cash (£1.6 trillion in debt) and secondly when taking into consideration that the millions of migrants also use services increasing the strain on already overstretched services ... studies show there is no real net benefit from immigration.
If only we had some way of limiting (not stopping) immigration so we can at least try to address these pressing issues ... impossible to do while we are in the EU as confirmed by Corbyn the other day and by Cameron's friend who informs us the PM knew his immigration target was unachievable years ago.

Staying in the EU seems to be wonderful for the well heeled of society and the young single university educated electorate. I don't blame them at all. We are sold the line that we can travel freely and work in 27 other countries, marvellous times for all and a great experience. How is the EU freedom of movement good for the normal families of Great Britain who's are on low wages and work in supermarkets, DIY stores, Clothes shops. I can't see them jumping for joy at the chance to uproot their family to work on the checkout at the Austrian version of Tescos. The federal European Utopia is only beneficial to the the bean counters and the people who regulate the bean counters it is not beneficial to the majority of the UK.
For that reason, I am out.

That really chimes with what people were saying yesterday on newsnight. The reporter asked some people why are you voting out? She said well with the immigrants and jobs...and sort of trailed off. Then the reporter said well Mark Carney says it is bad for the economy. She responds to the effect that she and Mark Carney live in different worlds; "has he gone round Sainsbury's on a budget?". The next lady cited cancelled operations as a reasoning for leaving. Asked why the young voted in they said "this is what they know, we're older, we remember something better."
What becomes apparent is that anyone with a gripe, potholes, NHS times, being elderly and remembering that they were once young, are all valid reason to give the status-quo a kicking. In no way does leaving the EU solve any of these issues, and actually exacerbates all of them. But they are not happy and see a simple way to air their grievances with the state of the world.
I hope enough people are rational enough to look at what the EU does and does not do. Because a strong UK is a UK in the EU. A strong UK can better fund the NHS, as the NHS chief exec has said, a strong UK in the EU can pay for European care workers to improve Brits standard of living.
Show me a study that says there is no benefit from immigration, or that immigrants stretch services. They don't. They use less services than Brits, and they are net contributors to the UK treasury. These Spanish kids working in bars in Brighton and Polish builders in Angel pay into the system and take very little out. They subsidise British people's services.
Your ignore that we need immigrants to pay down the deficit not increase it.

Cats in Sicily could have had petrol-soaked rags attached to them by people linked to the Mafia before being set alight and released into forests to start huge fires, according to the island’s national park officials.
Dozens of forest fires which broke out within hours of each other in Sicily on Thursday are believed to have been begun by mobsters or their collaborators.
Firefighters had to tackle at least 30 blazes in national parks and woodland. Schools and homes have been evacuated and water and power supplies cut. Several children have been treated for smoke inhalation.
The fires all broke out at around the same time on Thursday, which has led the island's national park officials to suggest a co-ordinated plan was behind the blazes.
The effects have been exacerbated by temperatures of up to 40C while the ‘sirocco’, a strong wind which comes from Africa and affects parts of Europe in the summer, has fanned the flames.
Sicilian authorities have pointed the blame at various groups they say have motives for starting the fires, including the mafia, property developers and disgruntled former forest rangers.
“We don’t yet have the proof but we suspect that there are criminal interests behind these fires,” said Rosario Crocetta, the governor of Sicily. “It horrifies me that criminals in Sicily would set fire to national parks and centuries-old woodland, but there are speculative interests behind the fires.”
The mafia recently attempted to assassinate the director of the island’s Nebrodi national park, Giuseppe Antoci, following his efforts to crackdown on the organised criminals making millions of euros through defrauding EU funds set aside for farmers in the park.
Meanwhile, much of the land affected is in areas targeted by developers looking to build homes and holiday villas.
Mr Antoci believes the fires were started deliberately. He said: “It is not possible that the whole of Sicily can go up in flames at the same time simply by chance.
“One of the mob’s arson techniques is to tie a petrol-soaked rag to the tail of a cat and set fire to it,” he added.
According to the Telegraph, there is speculation on the island that forest rangers fired after their links to the mafia were discovered could be responsible.

Do you need to convince yourself to stay?. As you alluded to in a previous post that some of us remember and appreciated and benefited pre EU. You are of the younger generation who knows no different and seem happy to give up our democracy.
Oh our wonderful democracy where we elect governments who stay true to their word.
No problem though, we just vote them out in 5 years time.
And repeat ad infinitum..........

And in no way does remaining in the EU solve any of these issues either. Like it or not, a vote to remain will be taken by our politicians (and the Eurocrats in Brussels) as a seal of approval for what they are doing. "Panic over, we've got away with it, carry on as before, chaps!"
