Dyche was wheeling out that old cliche on Sky on Saturday about how good teams get three points even when they don't play well.

Ta-da.

It was nice for us to get something out of game for a change rather than tossing two points away ala Derby and QPR

He used to matter when the Argus was a credible paper. Now, he's no more important than Hove Born & Bred.

"It looked like they would have to settle for a point, which was arguably the most they deserved."

We weren't great in the second half, but saying we should have lost seems very harsh. Before scoring we controlled the game well IMO.

With the exception of the Lansbury chance Forest created little.

Hemed was denied a goal by an excellent save. He looked knackered but kept plodding on.

Blackstock also missed a great chance, but then again, so did Hemed.

I assume Naylor is saying a draw would have been a fair result, but it's the lack of passion and excitement he writes with that I feel whenever I see his writing - which is not much. He should be building the town into a frenzy now instead of carping from the sidelines. We have been brilliant away from home.

To be fair, there were enough people on here within 5mins of the final whistle moaning that we were poor and it was undeserved. I do wonder where people get their excitement from at football? Sure, the play them off the park 3 nils are brilliant, but the not going so well, playing a bit crap but snatch a winner are equally nerve jangling ecstatic moments.

I guess for some it's, 'yeah we won, but we are a bit crap...humph.'

Agreed.

I'll be happy with 5 crap 1-0 victories now. All own goals.

Ok, maybe just 4 and a 10-0 drubbing of Boro.

He's become like BG. If Naylor thinks we're rubbish, I'll take it as a complement.

Is the right answer. He comes out with his opinion but if you have a different view he slates you. If you tweet him to agree with him he retweets you. Why the hell he had to mention Stoke after a massive win last night is beyond me.

He's certainly alienated himself further from the fans this season.

He should piss off back to Stoke and let the Arsegas find a local dedicated reporter.

I'm not one for relying solely on stats
Very wise.
but there were equal number of shots and shots on target last night from both teams
What they don't tell you is the distance or quality of the strike, so it can give a false impression.

I think he has a point. He is a neutral reporter, as he should be. And makes some reasonable points, but many on here take them personally and twist his words in a way to attack him.

He really is not that relevant anymore so just ignore him. He is only doing his job. His assessment is probably fair, in the second half we did not look like winning with Forest looking dangerous on the break

A touch libelous, I trust he can prove that. If it's the thread that says he's shit at his job, he's going to struggle.

pS - not the most controversial of comments about last night but Naylor didn't write them. His colleague at the Argus; Brian Owen wrote that line in his online report.

20 years ago the arsegas was important and played their part in helping The Albion in many ways. Now, they need The Albion more than the club needs them.

Naylor is irrelevant these days.

Andy Naylor is fine. Of course he wants website traffic, of course he wants followers on twitter and of course he wants to sell papers.

No idea at all why so many on here dislike the man so much.

He covers the local team for the local paper-neutrality shouldn't come into it. Especially with the team having a reasonable season. The Arsegas needs somebody with some passion for The Albion covering our games.

If he'd said a point would have been fair, he'd be right. So he's also right when he said the most we deserved.

Time to chill, and look forward to Fulham. I'm psychologically drained after last night.

I tend to agree with these. He's a reporter - he reports what happens. He's not MEANT to be a fan of the club - he's a journalist who's doing his job.

Those of you should be careful what you wish for. Get rid of Naylor, and The Arsegas could end up with someone who struggles to string a sentence together and doesn't really know what they're talking about.

So we want some blinkered communist style reporting?
