That will never, ever happen. The Queen knows the rules. It's not their decision to make. It's all in the Act Of Succession.

It has been suggested that certain commonwealth realms (OK, pretty much just Turnbull's Australia, if he's still there when it happens which is obviously not guaranteed) will seek to appoint Wills instead, as the rules for them are different. Which would cause an interesting crisis

Saw Peter Phillips is trying to flog tickets for 150 quid.

Sorry but why isn't this free? Its not exactly like the Windsors can't afford to put this on themselves. And stop pretending its some sort of commercial thing when the her maj's bloody grandson won the tender!

One of Cameron's Tory boy buddies probably getting their cut in it somewhere.

Quite honestly, the thought of sitting amongst fawning, dribbling pensioners (apart from the Royal Family) for £150 puts me right off...

As everyone thinks Elisabeth is such a marvellous queen how about we end this whole monarchy thing on a high and let her be the last one.

I have no problem with someone proposing this motion,it should be open to democratic debate

All the interested parties on this issue have to do now is run an election campaign promising the abolition of our constitutional Monarchy as a manifesto promise, get themselves elected into power ,get the bills passed through parliament and bobs your uncle.Or they could get elected with a majority and push for a referendum act passing both houses and let the public decide.

I look forward to watching the fortunes of the political party and its leader that has the stomach for this sort of fight and placing this proposal front and centre to the electorate.
No doubt you have a long list of potential candidates willing to step up to the plate

most of this dribbling pensioners tickets for this one off event amongst many other events are going to 600 charities and organisations associated with the Queen like Bernados and the Red Cross

All surplus money raised will go into a charity fund.

the cost of the event will be subsidised by corporations including Boots, BT, Pimms, M&S and Unilever.

If you give to charity you can get the Vat segment negated and also a government contribution

indeed you are both right to be concerned……what sort of vile cow would be party to a one off charity raising non profit event like this…….what an evil :censored:

£150 to secure the hottest tickets in Britain this year, probably in history. A place at her Majestys 90th Birthday party, incredible value and a thousand lucky punters will have the greatest day of their lives.

I don't know about the Queen of Great Britain and the Commonwealth, but NSC just wouldn't be the same without Crodo, the King of Hyperbole.

Sexist and presumptive.

I'll second that.

We find it hard enough to elect a flaming government let alone a head of state. I'm all for keeping Brenda and focusing on things that matter. I'm no dyed in the wool royalist, but certainly no republican either.

I could see Charles turning down the big seat or (if by some weird twist he's 'not allowed to') abdicating to William almost immediately.

Silly old bat
Is there owt to stop Chaz coming in to bat, declaring right away on '0 not out' in the form of abdication?

If he abdicates, he abdicates for his line, so the crown would pass to Andrew or his offspring.
