As much as I want to sign this guy, I just can't see it happening the fact they are holding out for Bologna or Inter would suggest he is not really keen to come here.

I agree. I think we'd struggle to get our money back for Bolanos should it go wrong.

Can't blame him keeping his options open though, especially if those options may be 'bigger and better' than Brighton. If he does end up coming here, even if we're 3rd / 4th choice and it's purely to put him in the shop window for another European move in the future we'd just have to make the most of the opportunity and enjoy it while it lasts.
I'm still highly dubious about the whole thing though and can't help feeling it's too much of a gamble at that kind of fee.

To be fair I don't blame him for being unsure.
He plays at one of the biggest clubs in his country who have just won the league in a team full of internationals. To contemplate going to a club that he's never heard of in the English 2nd division must seem like step backwards.

Do Bologna have that kind of moneyIf not why would they suddenly be looking to spunk this kind of dough
The only way I could see JC ending up there would be some kind of dubious loan arrangement to get round the third party ownership.
From what I've gathered from different articles, it sounds like Inter are out of the situation. If Boca sell to the investment group, he'll go on loan to Bologna and then Inter may come back in June for him. But apparently Boca are struggling to make a deal with the investment group, and a deadline was set by the Calleri family for today. And in the meantime, we've put in a firm offer for him.

all this nonsense has put a downer on this whole deal, is he ,isn't he,are we big enough for him,etc etc it's kind of taken the excitement out of this deal, if it went through now I'm not sure I'd want this over paid pre-maddonna who will probably think he's bigger than the club and upset the good vibe the team seem to have.
