We needed goals so I would have brought him on for the last 20 mins at least if not 30mins and said go and show what you can do, we had nothing to lose as we didnt look like scoring 1 goal yet alone 3.

Hemed seems he may have found Kemy's lost cook book . . . .

Assuming it's too early for KLL, who else is going to play wing against Wolves unless we change the formation?

I don't know any more than you do, but I'd still not bet my mortgage on Elvis starting. Chicksen is OK going forward apparently; Baldock might be ready: maybe it'll be time for Harper to earn his spurs. Who knows? Maybe some kid from the dev. squad we haven't even talked about yet.

Toko didn't even see the bench, apart from 1 league cup game. Elvis has been in the squad for every game since Wolves, so Hughton must see something in him. Nothing to lose by giving him 20 mins today though, so a bit of an odd one for a player that's played at a decent level.

Toko, in addition to his playing sub appearance at Burton, was an unused sub in 9 other league and cup matches.

Maybe Hughton still believed we could get something from the game

I honestly think CH gave us 10 minutes in the second half to get one back, then gave up, decided it wasn't our day and
went for damage limitation. Any pretence otherwise went when Crofts and Bobby came on. I don't know that I am the one to judge if that was right or wrong, but for me, it was game over when the stultifyingly unimginative Crofts came on to shore up the midfield.

Totally agree, 3.0 down let's bring on a 34 striker who we need for tight games, and an injury prone defensive midfielder! At least give him some game time to see what he's got. If we paid over £1 million for him he can't be that bad!
Have to say I have only seen Elvis make a couple of brief cameo appearances, and have seen nothing that would justify a £1 million pound price tag. All clubs make mistakes at times with transfers, he could be one.

I wasn't aware of this; the Burton match was the only time I ever saw the mysterious Toko in the flesh. Elvis does still seem to be getting a bit more of a look in than Toko ever did, having been in the squad for every game since KLL got injured. You'd expect a £1.5m player to have been a regular given our winger injuries though.

Has the same Dutch scout been responsible for Kemy, Holla and Elvis? Not a great looking CV if he has!

I hope we have business sorted for very early in the Jan window which with suitable incoming may see Elvis going out, I will be disappointed if incoming players are not of the quality to walk straight into the team.
