He was terrible, but I'm not wishing him away for a bag of cash on 1 poor performance. Hopefully that aberration is out of his system as he can be a terrific player and will be a critical member of this squad this season.

I just hope all the Premier League scouts were in last night.......so they can leave him alone!

I would of sold him in the summer. Unfortunately, with Dunk, he makes a lot of mistakes that leads to goals conceded. Always has done. I think the last 3 goals we have conceded have come down to Dunk. It's his concentration i think. Technically, he is very talented, but he is far from a safe defender.

Very harsh, considering Dunk was MOM for many at Leeds, with Greer going off injured after 30 odd minutes. Every player has an off day.

He was outstanding on Saturday and possibly would be worth 4-5m if he could play like that every week.

He was so bad all game I expected to see the new guy come on. What made it worse is that many of the errors were not down to pressure from them, they were self inflicted. Still a great talent, so let's hope this is over with for the season now and normal service will be resumed.

I remember Lawro having a couple of stinkers back in the day.

He'll know he played badly, he'll also know that he was lucky to play badly and not be responsible for lost points!

It's all one big learning curve for the bloke.

Give him the benefit on this one and get behind him.

It's 12 games unbeaten, we're top of the league!

Well, to be fair, we've only conceded our last 2 goals with him on the pitch as he didn't play at Bolton, he helped keep a clean sheet at Wolves, and didn't play at home to Rotherham either...so god knows how you're blaming him for our last 3 goals!! :nono:

Dunk was trying so hard to stop the Bristol goal he was throwing himself everywhere, needed a bit of composure, it will come.
Just after half time when he got caught with the ball and BC striker put it in the net God knows how that was offside, I was counting our blessings.
It was a penalty but their striker made a meal of it serves him right
They will have better games together I don't think Dunk and hunemeier have geled yet

I very much hope so but this is the 5th season he's played for the first team. I was hoping he might've learnt his lesson after he played keepy-uppy into our net at Anfield. I too was wildly excited last night but it doesn't obscure the fact that Lewis is guilty of at least one serious ricket in each game and those errors have cost us.

Yeah, exactly....2 goals conceded with him playing...you're trying to blame him for our last 3 goals!

What are you on about? Cardiff, Leeds and Bristol City all scored 1. That's THREE goals.

Cardiff - Was in no mans land when the cross came in.
Leeds - Needless foul for the free kick and arguably should of delt with it better.
Bristol City - Lost the attacker.

Oh yeah...I've kind of missed a goal there somewhere. 1, 2, 4... never been my strong point!

Nevertheless, that is a lot of blaming going on there for one player. Cardiff especially, Bruno got caught too far forward, Greer is actually the one covering that side, so Dunk was probably 3rd in line for blame on that one to be perfectly honest.

I've said this so many times over the last few seasons, as soon as we lose Greer in that position
we completely lose the plot at the back.
Whatever you say about the guy he is the backbone, of the team and organises it properly as good captains should do.
He WILL be very very hard to replace.

This !! we are quick to knock him at times but he does provide a calming influence

It was offside because when the Bristol City left back hoofed it forward their forward was about 2-3 yards goalside of Dunk and then Dunk miscontrolled. Offside is when ball kicked and he was very active for Dunk!

It's probably because I'm getting old that I fail to see the wisdom of rewarding a player who goes on "strike" with an extended contract and increased wages.

The manager rates him as clear third choice centre half and after last nights shocker he might have slipped to fourth! It wasn't just the goal either. I would have thought that it might have been Uwe who would have struggled playing out of position, but Dunk was all over the place.

He is a player who clearly wanted to move at the start of the season and his performances since (and presumably in training too as he can't get a starting place) are of a player who would rather not be here. Let's say "thanks" and bin him off in the next window. He is clearly a long way short of Premier League standard so let's get what we can now.

What have they cost us? I believe we got three points last night. You don't get extra points for a clean sheet.

Goal difference might though, [emoji3]
but to be fair only his lapse in the Cardiff game has actually cost us anything, and both Greer and Bruno were equally as culpable if not more so.

Exactly my point. Bruno has cost us a couple of goals too.

Are you of the same opinion when we let Cook and Elphick go ! Dunk had an off night big deal .. i also think he benefits more from Greer being on the pitch but to get rid ? when we will pay loads more for a decent replacement if any
