What Hughton said about this last night

“We’ve always been consistent in what we’ve done and always announced anything that is right and correct at the time.
“We’re certainly very close on something, but we’re not in a position to announce anything until anything is 100 per cent correct.
“The centre-back option is a position we’re looking at because at the moment, Lewis Dunk and Gordon Greer are our two mainstay centre-halves and with all due respect to Glen Rea, he’s a young player who is continuing to develop. It’s an area where we absolutely need cover.”

For me that ties in with the fact he hasn't yet passed a medical. Paderborn say he's gone to us.

Squad will be in for training this morning and logic would suggest that is when Medical & signing will be scheduled.

How dare you question the Oracle of all football knowledge
I wasn't doubting him, it was a genuine question. And if BG was going to say something useful on NSC, I'd be damned if I was going to miss it.

Having attended a training session open to fans, all the squad come in, but those who played the previous evening do different exercises from the rest of the squad.
None of which detracts from the club doctor doing a medical.

This is going through today.

Apparently he is real big personality on the pitch and in the dressing room. He is right footed although has played mostly on the left side of central defence for much of his career to date but he can play right sided. It is really anticipated that he will do really well here and will be really competent at this level

Hope so, he was captain at his last club right?

Well no shit. We haven't spend over £1m on an experienced defender that we expect to do badly and struggle at this level.

If you have inside information to share, I do appreciate, really I do, but you can do better than that.

He would of had his medical today, trained this morning then will have the shirt photo after training which is when it will be announced. I think.

Nope, not gonna work.

I'm not even going to attempt any translation but that is very funny.

He has no inside information apart from the fact he likes to make out he is Chris Hughton stalker

BhaSnappy has overslept due to a late night at Roots Hall. Once he's out of bed, the obligatory photo with the shirt will be released.

Definitely the long term replacement for Greer (or short term if he loses form/fitness). If Dunk goes, we'll need a similar signing to plug the gap. This guy could be great for Rea, Dallison, White & Barclay.
