Palace reaction to Zamora signing.

Went to price a job in East Grinstead yesterday and 3 Palace and 1 BHA fan worked at the place.

Good fun banter passed between us all but when one of the Palace blokes went by singing "Glad All Over" he turned narky when I said to him in a dismissive way "Palace don't still play goal music, do they?" .

I don't know why but football wasn't mentioned again. So sensitive.

Some fans on twitter of various clubs / many palace really don't understand the Bobby thing. Maybe they don't have a stand out hero of the modern era, I don't know. But if Zamora spends a lot of the season injured or only makes sub appearances etc most of us couldn't care much at all - the fact he's back and we get to see him in the stripes (maybe even scoring in the stripes) means so much more than anything. Do they really think banging on about how we're celebrating a 34yr old signing for us like he's gonna save our team is the truth?! Far from it...

I think most on the BBS look upon some of your delusions about being a big club as quite comical, and the signing of BZ and the over reaction on here confirms it.
No doubt he was a great player in his prime, but those days have gone.
My thoughts are he had talks early doors with you,and his demands were too high for you. After losing out of various targets, and the first game 3 days away, you've caved in. He's missed all of the pre season , so is a few weeks away from match fitness, plus at his age, rushing him will cause strains/ hamstring problems.
I see the romantic side of this, but the reality is normally different, look at AJ for us last season.

All that was a different club, the original Palace.

This new one was only formed in 2010.

On the contrary, the reaction to BZ signing (on the whole) says the complete opposite, surely? It's a big deal for most of us. If we were a deluded bunch we'd be underwhelmed. As for the rest of your "thoughts" I am amazed you'd take the time to share them tbh.
