A nice end to the festival for me. I have somehow managed to avoid seeing The Who on the many recent tours and am pleased I finally get to see (what's left) of them. Foos friday/ random saturday/The Who sunday it's starting to take shape for me now. The best night's however will always be wednesday and thursday.

Although I've seen The Who many times, always look forward to seeing them. Not fussed about Kanyne West on Saturday , so may be at the Mothership or Suede. Fridays also good with The Foo's.

So it's out, my main clashes are:

Sharon Van Etten versus Caribou

Hot Chip versus Super Furry Animals

Otherwise not too horrendous, I'll mostly be at the Park Stage and West Holts.

I feel a bit Meh about the line up if I am honest, Had a lot of promise for me but some of clashes ruin it for me.

Oh well, I'd still go without knowing who was playing, just gives me more chance to wonder around and discover something I do like hopefully.

Looking forward to Run the Jewels. Decent bit of Hip Hop. Rag n Bone Man sunday morning might be a bit too early for me which is a shame and his saturday set is a huge clash.

any idea who will be opening friday morning on the other? and where FBS will be playing?

For the first time in ages I've not been jealous of ticket holders. Kanye West? No thanks, The Who? Hmm, could be magnificent, could be dire, the voice just ain't there anymore.
The Foo's? Always boggles me how this lot got to be pretty much the biggest pop/rock act in the business. Music for middle aged office workers to listen to on their commute and chubby teenage rock chicks. Awful. Seen them a few times live, they are okay. Meh.

RTJ, Caribou and Hot Chip looks like a brilliant lineup that evening.

I'm disappointed Courtney Barnett is playing so early on Pyramid stage, although she also plays William's Green early Saturday evening.

I dont think I will bother seeing any of those headliners, much better music around the festival than that. thats just to please the TV audiances. Although I am tempted to see Kanye, could be a car crash, could be excellent. Too many people just hate him and dont actually listen to his music, he has made some outstanding music in recent years, just a shame he portrays himself as such a massive Twunt.

I thought It may have Been Jamie XX into Caribou into Hot Chip. West Holts and The Park stage both look strong this year.

Pretty happy with the line-up, very few clashes but then there are very must sees which makes for a more interesting festival. FWIW I'll do the Moorhead, Flo and Foos trio friday night. I shall be at Porky the Poet saturday and Patti Smith sunday, other than it's smooch fest for me. Only real clash for me is Suede and The Mothership Returns on sat night, will be probably be at West Holts though.

Plenty more to see at the festival than the music anyway. There's always some hippy slag with her sweater meat out.

Kanye West will be excellent. His ego dictates that he needs to being his A game for a gig as big as this and he has the strongest back catalogie of any contempary pop musican to debut after 2000. I understand he can be a dick but musically the guy will be remembered as the artist of this era.

Having said that I think I'll be doing Mothership Returns and then on to Leftfield. That Mothership/ Kanye clash is a particuarly stupid one.

It must be a bloody nightmare to program Glastonbury though. There are numerous acts to consider on an artistic basis and each has their individual travel logistics and arrangements sometimes dictating when in the day they can actually play.

Yeah, I get it but that is such a bad clash. If I had a modicum of interest in hip-hop I'm likely to want to see both. Parliament/ Funkdelic and Family Stone have to be the most sampled acts in hip-hop.

Who will replace the Foos then?

I suspect that Florence will get bumped up but Blur are all set up to play Hyde Park the next day. I can't imagine the bods at BST would be anything other than supportive if they were asked bearing in mind the their gig on the Saturday isn't sold out and Blur would be playing live to a national TV audience the night before. I expect that would encourage a few extras to buy tickets.

Equally, Taylor Swift and Kylie are about but I expect they may have been discounted on account of not wanting to piss off those notoriously open minded Foo Fighters fans.

Also, this makes FF an absolute dead cert for next year. Grohl'll be desperate to play and they'll be desperate to have him.
