Hove
Lords is a very special place but I also had the fortune of visiting Newlands Cape Town in 2009. Saw England lose a ODI but what a beautiful ground with table mountain as the back drop. It was a day night game and the wine was particularly nice and very cheap.

Plan on going back for my 40th in late 2019 for our test series.

As said Lords, Trent Bridge, Arundel and Lynton. All great in their particular way. Would also through in the SCG but it's not so good since the Hill was developed and seeing a game at Fulking from the South Downs Way.

Parham Park, of course, as previously mentioned.

Of other places I've played, the Neville Ground in Tunbridge Wells is lovely, and Aigburth (Liverpool CC) is fabulous.

I have been lucky enough to visit a fair amount of grounds whilst watching England abroad. Favourites-

Newlands in Cape town. Ground looks great with table mountain in the distance, Has a brewery right next door as well.
Galle In Sri lanka. The ground needs some work these days but it's still a great place to watch cricket. Nice to pop for a swim at lunchtime to cool down.
SCG, Much nicer than the MCG, which is too big IMO.
Lords, Still a special place to watch a test match.

Hove is my favourite cricket ground in the world and the gap to second place is as far as Will Beer hit the ball yesterday afternoon...

In the interests of continuing the thread my other happiest memories are all abroad. Feel very lucky to have done a few and there is nothing better than being in the sunshine and sharing a different cricketing culture...

Personal favourite clubs in Sussex include Barns Green and Selmeston (both were "home" so am very biased..!). My own list of the nicest local village grounds includes Slinfold and Ockley.

Lower Bourne .Farnham
Tilford in Surrey ,river in the background ,a splendid Pub called The Barley mow in the background .Shame the landlord is a:wanker:

One of my sons plays for Glynde, if he plays against Firle I will visit.
This assumes that there might be some sort of "friendly" arranged.

Glynde and Firle don't do "friendly". Most people explain this with reference to the English Civil War. Personally, I think the whole thing is much older than that. The one thing that unites Glynde and Firle, though, is the love of a good grudge.

It's just a shame Arundel is so far north.
