I guess that it's because rather than being socialist and cooperative in principle as many of them claim, they are actually just all in it for themselves.

It's sad all this divisionism. United we stand, divided we fall.

I agree.

Whilst usually opposed to much of the SNP's ideology, I have long thought Salmond one of the best political operators in UK politics, if anyone has a personality cult in politics amongst their supporters it is Alex Salmond. Sturgeon and Swinney are also very impressive.

In my view they have the perfect environment now to forment greater division, anything short of independence will never be enough and therefore any problems (rightly or wrongly) will be exploited to the full and laid at the door of the tories.

Tactically, the SNP have done their upmost to develop the ABE principal in Scotland, this will become even more cultural so that whatever may be good/popular for England and the English, and logically Scotland will be opposed.

Salmond this week on C4 news attacked May for her stance on Med immigration and stated Scotland would welcome those arriving in Italy. I seriously doubt that the public appetite for this step is much different in Scotland to a England, but there is the line of travel.

iirc he stopped short of agreeing to actually take them when challenged if we should forward all immigrants to Scotland. SNP say a lot on subjects that they dont have to follow through on. and for that matter that they can do something about, i was reminded this week they can increase their income rates by 3p, yet have not chosen to do so.

Swinney are also very impressive.

Swinney frontrunner for Scottish First Minister gig. Much hoopla as he announced his candidacy this morning followed by a roar and chant of 'there's only one John Swinney' from his supporters, on this form he'll take some beating.

DONCASTER
As I live in Doncaster I am already in Scotland. 'Doncaster was signed over to Scotland in 1136 by King Stephen of England as part of the Treaty of Durham, after King David successfully stormed large areas of northern England. ' Not officially handed back yet.
