One run in which no one put in a challenge and no end product. Care to mention anything else he did.

He showed promise and gave the full back some headaches. Put in a couple of good crosses. Not amazing but certainly not a zero performance as you rate him. Same with Stockdale. If that's a zero performance then I'd hate to see what you're dishing out if he does stink the place out. I can maybe just about see where you're coming from with the Best rating :D

Stockdale had one hard shot to save and run away from it.

English & European
Stockdale - 5 - Should NEVER try and 2nd guess a free kick as you're never going to get back across.
Bruno - 7 - Solid game keeping Pugh then Ritchie quiet with Calde.
Bennett - 6 - Started to link well with Carayol as the 1st half went on.
Dunk - 4.5 - Kept Wilson quiet but two costly mistakes
Halford - 5 - Didn't look comfortable tonight for some reason.
Kayal - 8 - MotM.
Stephens - 7 - Would've been MotM but faded badly.
Calderon - 6.5 - Tried to lead by example in effort.
Carayol - 6 - Apart from that run and blocked shot, did he play at all in the 2nd half?
Texeira - 6 - Average.
Best - -50 - If COG got substituted at Rotherham for doing more 1st half, how did this waste of space last the full 90? Our only shot on target, and it was a back pass.

Subs
Ince - 6 - Not prepared and did not get into the game.
CMS - 6 - Gave more effort in his 15 minutes that Best did all game.
KLL - 5 - Zero impact from our impact player.

Stockdale- 4

Bruno- 5.5
Dunk- 3
Halford- 5
Bennett- 5

Calderon- 5
Kayal- 6.5
Stephens- 6.5
Teixeira- 5
Carayol- 4.5 (+.5 for that run)

Best- 4.5

Subs all get a 5, I guess.

Kayal and Stephens are the only two players that showed any kind of quality tonight.

Questions still need to be asked of Stockdale (#blamestockdale HAHAHA :shootself), Dunk seems to have lost the plot, you'd be forgiven for not realising that Carayol was on the pitch until the run, Teixeira went missing again for most of the game and even though I don't rate him at all, Best couldn't do much as he was completely isolated, though of course when he did get the chance his shot was absolutely pathetic.

Not good, not good at all. Good job Bournemouth didn't actually show up tonight eh..

Stockdale - 5
Bruno - 7
Bennett - 6
Dunk - 5
Halford - 6
Kayal - 8 MOTM
Stephens - 6
Calderon - 5
Carayol - 6

Best - 5

Ince - 5
CMS - 6
KLL - 6

Good set of marks and comments, agree with these.

Stephens very average, one pace, and not dynamic. re ince, marks reflect correctly, poor display from him, although the rest were poor also. Not sure what you were aiming at.

Stockdale - for an hour looked ok then had to save two shots-which once again he failed to do. -4.5
Bruno - nothing special - 5
Halford - at fault for second goal. What happened to his long throws? -5
Dunk - caught out too easily again. Has gone right off in recent weeks - 4
Bennett-brings nothing to the side- just ordinary -4.5
Calderon - works hard but too often unable to chase back when he was needed. What is his role in the side? 4.5
Stephens - good contribution but should have scored -6.5
Kayal -worked well with Stephens. His injury probably cost us a point. Must be next year's captain -7
Carayol -one good run otherwise lightweight. Does Hughton really think he's better than Lua Lua? 4.5
Texeira- lacks strength. Didn't contribute much of value tonight. -4.5
Best-no mark. If he can't be bothered why should I?

Subs- Ince - struggled. Cost us at least one goal 4; Lua Lua -no impact -4; CMS- apparently had a shot but like most of the crowd, I didn't see it-5
Management- strange team selection -again! Subs too late when it was obvious that Carayol and Best had nothing to offer. I'm getting seriously concerned about Hughton and Jones' tactics - 3

Quite agree with all your scores, but I don't know why you're blaming Jones. Colin Calderwood is now the Assistant Manager, and I can't see how we've improved one jot since he joined us. Apart from the Derby and Leeds games, Fulham away was just about the only time we've looked like a proper team. Hindsight as it is, and it could have blown up in our faces, but I'm fast beginning to think Jones should have been given a go.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Stockdale 6. Looked a good free kick to me and made important saves in first half
Bruno 7. Linked up well with Calde.
Bennett 5. Ok
Dunk 4. Not OK, far from OK. Stockdale has no confidence in him
Halford 7. Strong, aggressive for the most part. Keep him
Kayal 8. His injury was the turning point. aggressive, great vision, driven
Stephens 7. Terrible shots but again strong and busy
Calderon 6. Should have got a penalty
Texiera 5. Further evidence of his loss of confidence in front of goal. Won't play for
Liverpool in competitive matches
Carayol 4. One great run, some nice touches not much else. Is he match fit?
Best 3 and I'm convinced CH is going to get him on a permanent contract

Ince. Rushed on so not warmed up. One of those days where he had no control of his legs
KLL. Did nothing
CMS. Did nothing
I agree with all of this except CMS, who did get a shot in which came close, which is more than any other player did. 5

David Stockdale 4 Good kicking, handling very good. Nothing he could do about the second goal but so at fault for the first. Henderson #2.
Bruno 6 Flair, but didn't contribute anything tangible either in attack or defence. I am disappointed.
Greg Halford 6 Plays like he means it, he can stay!
Lewis Dunk 4 Going backwards without the support and guidance of Hyypia, ironically. Tonight was a good experience for him.
Joe Bennett 5 No longer offers anything in attack because he rarely goes forward, but produces when he does get forward.
Beram Kayal 7 Driving force in midfield, a cut above the rest of our squad and an encouraging sign - this is who Hughton wanted.
Dale Stephens 6 Consistently a good player, didn't happen tonight but consistency of team selection is what he needs.
Inigo Calderon 4 Out of his depth I'm afraid, genuinely gutted by it but he's not good enough and doesn't contribute enough.
Joao Teixeira 5 Ineffective, but he was on the ball at times and makes us play when we play well. We need to keep the team selection consistent.
Mustapha Carayol 6 One run of real promise and intent, and I like him as a player but where's his head? Could he care less?
Leon "Best" 4 Generous. He does a few things well, but many things terribly.

Subs
Kazenga LuaLua 1 Crap.
Craig Mackail-Smith 6 More desire, intent, passion and class than many others. Deserves more respect from some fans.
Rohan Ince 5 Not very good tonight.

Yep pretty much this. With the exception of Calde. I can't ever mark him less than 7 due to his passion and commitment. Which were displayed yet again in spades.

Stockdale - 4 (free kick positioning all wrong - but stunning goal and hard to stop)
Bennett - 4 (did okay, but faded quickly)
Bruno - 7 (MOTM for me)
Dunk - 3 (at fault for both goals)
Helford - 5 (some dodgy moments)
Stephens - 6 (did okay. Wasted two chances though)
Kayal - 6.5 (would be MOTM if he played the full 90)
Calderon - 6 (played well)
Carayol - 4 (that run was suburb, nit much else)
Tex - 4 (poor game by his standards)
Best - 3 (small and occasional flashes of an average championship striker shine through)

Ince - 3 (had a shocker, thankfully short lived)?
LuaLua - 3 (did nothing)
CMS - 4 (one good shot)

Kayal was the best. Stephens and Bruno showed class. Carayol had a good game but a bit tired at times? Others veered from OK to shite. Kwik Fit's effort to defend the second goal was shocking. Looked terribly knackered.

My Albion man of the Match was Elphick. He didn't put a foot wrong all game but for some unknown reason, turned up wearing our away kit?

Another quality decision made by Poyet.

There was an article posted on here a few days ago where Tommy Elphick seemed to make it very clear that it was HIS decision to go to Bournemouth. A manager does not have total control over all his players. Keeping a player against their will would often backfire.

I think some of the comments and scores on here are pretty unfair. We matched the league leaders for 70 minutes. Both their goals were quality. Kayal and Stephens were impressive.

I'm with those who stick up for Stockdale, too. For the most part he was as solid as a rock. If he hadn't been there, maybe it would have been 4-0 or 6-0.

Firstly, Bournemouth were poor, though I think Kayal and Stephens did do ok.

I struggle with your Stockdale comment, as he had next to nothing to do and the free-kick was very poor on his part. What I would say however, is that Dunk is the one who should receive the vast majority of any criticism for giving it away in the first place and then doing his usual walkabout for the second.

Here's my scores on the door

Stockdale 7 - poor positioning yet again for first goal.

Bennett- 6 - good going forward

Dunk 7 - had no support for second goal

Halford 7 - played some great balls and won important tackles

Bruno 6 - not his best game but showed flashes of genius

Kayal/Stephens 8 - both excellent and joint MOM

Tex 7 - was our biggest threat and when he went off we looked toothless

Carayol 5 - one good run but otherwise poor

Calde 6 - worked hard as always.

Best 3 - absolutely woeful. No movement up front and looks totally disinterested. Pile of cack

Subs
CMS 7- looked dangerous and did more work in 8 or 9 minutes than best in the whole 90

Kaz 5- never got the ball in a dangerous position

Ince 5- ineffective

My memory had a defender to stockdales right? And a player almost on the striker from the right.

Having just seen it on TV, there are two players to his right, but they are behind him, so I would say as per my original comment effectively one-on-one, in my eyes.

I really don't think he is culpable for the second.....
