Because you've got a pathetic agenda against Stockdale, I bet you couldn't wait to get on here tonight to put the boot in.

You are typical of the morons that post on here with zero knowledge of football and tactics. I would have loved to have come on here applauding a win, whether deserved or not but I am a realist and can see the faults not looking through blue and white glasses. It isnothing about an agenda or likes or dislikes of players.

 you do make me chuckle, you've got such a high opinion of yourself it's untrue. We're the morons but you can't see Bennett is the weak link that every team targets, that's why Dunk gets pulled out position all of the time. I can assure you I see the game from a crystal clear perspective, no point in being biased as you're only fooling yourself. Having said that, I wish I had your knowledge so I could watch the game as a narrow minded 'expert' with an unnecessarily over inflated sense of self importance.

I thought I saw a brighton fan cheering when the free kick went in

I thought when the second went in as the ref ran towards the celebrating Bournemouth players beckoning them it looked like he was running in front of the Bournemouth fans celebrating the goal himself.

Admittedly we've only seen him for a couple of games but Walton looks absolutely fantastic, so wouldn't be the end of the world if he needed to come in soon.

Played two games Draw and a win. Would like to see him play on Tuesday. As an aside I would like to have seen where we would have finished had Jones been given the job. I think Walton would have been given more games and he definitely played a more attacking game than Hughton. Also since Calderwood came it looks as though Jones influence is less and results have taken a turn for the worse. I am not convinced that the appointment of Calderwood is that great, but let's see who we get in over the summer and judge him and CH around Christmas

. To save it would have involved very high standard goalkeeping skills being flawlessly executed. Anticipation and footwork, then gross body movement, fine tuning and "hands" all in perfect harmony with no small error...

.

Alternatively just stand in your position raise your right arm and tip the ball over the bar. instead of f**king stepping to the left before the ball was struck.

Something is wrong we agree so you must also have an agenda if anti
Stockdale rather than see it as is

No I coach goalkeepers and his was totally at fault. His movement to the left (being covered by the wall) meant anything on "his" side, being the right, was only ever going in. He only started to dive after the ball hit the net. He completely wrong footed himself. It's not the first time he's done it either.

I commented on that very same thing on the way home. I'm not convinced that Calderwood has brought anything to the team whereas we know Jonah had a good influence.

I think Stockdale has taken some very unfair stick this season, and has largely been very good lately. For me, he and Kayal (apart from his missed chance) were the only players to come out of the Rotherham game with any credit. However, moving towards your wall, when you are supposed to cover the other side, is a basic error. That said, Dunk was the main culprit. If you were going to take the Bournemouth player out, it should have been done further up the pitch. It concerned me how easily Halford was beaten though, just as he was in the Rotherham game, as up to then he had been excellent.

You should apply for a coaching job at the Albion.

Lesson One. When opponents are striking a shot at goal stand absolutely still. Under no circumstances allow your instincts based on probability, postural cues and early ball flight to influence you whatsoever. This is especially important when facing free kicks. The correct approach to free kicks is to set up a wall, stand still and then only concern yourself with "your" half of the goal.

Lesson Two. Don't make any relatively small errors in perception or decision making. As a goalkeeper these are usually very costly. You must be perfect (especially if playing for Brighton).

If you coach 'keepers you'll hopefully agree that the free-kick was at near enough the optimum distance for getting the ball over the wall with room to keep it under the bar. From the position the ball was placed there were options of left or right of Stockdale's almost central starting position. There was no need for Kermogant to show where he was going to place it in that his run-up gave nothing away. It was beautifully struck with just enough pace. That would have beaten most goalkeepers.

Thank you! Perfectly explained. I knew I was right and can now go to bed feeling sane.
