good. are you supporting christian rights or just make some vague link to support prejudices?
Im sure he'll answer for himself in due course but i suspect the point he's trying to make is that yet again the majority are having to change for the (at present) minority, and that eventually this country will become unrecognisable , there are many things that are not necessarily an intrinsic part of my life but i'd miss them if they went or were banned, church bells on a sunday morning for instance ,how long before they become 'offensive' or ' inappropriate ' in an area with a high muslim population, it really isnt beyond the bounds of possibility , references to pigs are banned in certain childrens books, they are doing it by stealth, and one day it will be too late.

There's a certain type of small mindedness that is never going to be comfortable with change.

The problem occurs when these people irrationally categorise and conflate a debate about a burial plot with terrorism and wider issues.

The danger is this can cause real rifts in a society that as a whole is becoming closer and more united, all because of some small minded, simplistic idiots (on both sides) that let their inherent bigotry get in the way of the real issues that surround integration.

It's happened in previous generations with Jews, blacks, irish, huguenots etc.
You would have thought that these people would be able to look at history and put aside their irrational fears. I guess that their fear and hatred does put some positive pressure on integration, but on the whole i think ironically it does more damage than help.
you need to lay off the hallucinogenic drugs mate.

eventually this country will become unrecognisable ,

Too true bushy. Personally I preferred it when this country was all dinosaurs and we were situated near the equator. Halcyon days for me. Bloody tectonic plates moving us all about and the bloody Neanderthals coming over here and putting their mud huts up everywhere. If only someone had made a stand then, we wouldn't be in this state of affairs where people believe what they read in the Daily Mail.

i'd say the bible being there in the first place is for a minority interest group, most of which i'd expect to own their own copy anyway. no one, let alone "the majority" are having to change at all in that example.

Some drivel talked here, it would be strange not have a view on Islam in the West and its consequences, it seems an absolute delusion not to even acknowledge some problems.

You can quip about 'closed minds' and rather tedious unfunny 'prehistoric analogies' but if the World/UK is to change then I am not willing to allow a burgeoning cult of Islam to have any say in it.

Just my view after being brought up in a Christian country. The Gideon bible then as now was supplied free, you could choose to read it or not, same as now. I daresay if i attended a school or uni in a Muslim country then the koran would be supplied readily and no thoughts of stopping the free supply.
Still i suppose it is just another part of the erosion process. I do know that my Christian childhood saw no wars involving England and no be headings or transport being blown to smithereens, nativity plays no problem, our laws etc. I liked it, good change is fine, trying to alter the fabric and culture and traditions, may sit ok with many, but i am sceptical of the end product in the future.

You only see what you want to.

Although you may be right, it does seem that under this government a lot of different groups have been 'outed' at various times.
Disabled, firemen, police, unemployed, teachers, nhs, immigrants etc.. maybe 'the muslims' were due their 'bashing', anything to distract the small minded to give them another group to blame whilst all the wealth gets 'massaged' upwards.

Is it a coincidence that the right wing press generally slants their articles towards hating on these groups at various times over the last 4 years?

ive read the original article and ive just reread your post , i stand by everything ive said to you , you literally sicken me with your insipid comments and constant droning on about sensitivity , you were probably neville chamberlaibn in a previous life , you and people like you wont be happy until the character and make up of this country is totally and utterly changed , you'll be sorry then but it'll be too late quisling.

Thanks for that.

The sickening is mutual.

You can rest easy - the population of non-Muslims has increased by at least 4 times that figure over a similar period. The difference in numerical terms between the two groups is therefore widening :)

The only time I've had a use for the Gideon bible was at a hotel where I was meeting a nice young lady once. During some activity the bed leg collapsed. The bible was the perfect height to prop up the bed. It lasted the whole night ( the bible that is ! ) but was a bit bent out of shape in the morning. I suspect I may have a one way ticket to hell.
