Nice to meet you at last Lord B, good to match a face to an avatar :lolol: And you too Roz. Shame you both had to leave early for Brighton!

It all went well, I thought, interesting bit of Falmer / Waterhall analysis.

For those of you not there, it was like being back at Uni again, but with pints during seminars. We did a roleplay, split into two groups, the ODPM office and planning inspectors, then went through all the alternative locations for a ground, doing an analysis on whether they were OK or not. Lord B, Roz and Paul Welch were the 'expert witnesses' as such.

Damn fine sausages down that pub as well :clap2:

Think it was the biggest turn out for a long time.

Roll on January

It was a good night well done for everyone involved. I believe it was a great bit of capacity building and developing our awareness and issues involved in Falmenr and in an inquiry. And how judgemental the whole affair is.

I reckon it could be rolled out to other supporters groups. Are you up for that Lordy B and Roz?

I am also intrigue who on this board also attended last night?

LC???

Good to meet you SoLs last night.

I'm not entirely convinced by the collective conclusion you all came to about the stadium, but maybe I'm just a lousy planning advisor.

???

A special thank you to Thameslink Trains for running late to enable Roz and I to catch the last train to Lewes from London Bridge. But a bucket of stinking fish to them for then being so late that the onward connection from Haywards Heath had left by the time we got there.

Anyway, there was a very nice man from Southern who got us a free taxi ride from HH to allow us to arrive home before breakfast. So all is forgiven.

What a superb pub the Royal Oak is!

We were so busy 'working' last night, that there wasn't an AA-style meet and greet. I don't even know which one you were London Calling!! I was the skinhead type by the door btw. Gilliver's Travels was there, not sure who else though.

If that is the Royal oak in Lewes then that is the only pub in Lewes I've not been in!! I'll have to remedy that this lunchtime...

Thankfully, no, Lammy. Near London Bridge station in town. Full of real ale enthusiasts muttering pleasantries into their pints. Sussex beers only!!

Bath, think there was a sticky on here for a week or so b4 the meeting. Next one is on Thursday 27th January - put it in the diary now! Though, it's a long way to come innit? :lolol:

I'd like to go to the next one. Sounds interesting. Unable to attend last night as I had business functions to attend. Work in London so convenient to get to.

Do you publicise them all on NSC in advance?

Hi I was there last night. Good meeting, really interesting to discuss the issues surrounding Falmer that I feel a bit distanced from by living in London. Hope to see you all again in January.

Why oh why do they start so late.

If they started at say 6'ish I would be able to go>

(rant over)

To be fair, if you live in Croydon, what's the problem? I don't finish work til 6 at the earliest, but surely 7.30 or 7pm is ok?
